I was playing some GameCube on the 4 Pro today for a bit actually found a bug though. The vibration doesn't recognize the driver for Dolphin.

Games are acquired via searching for roms but the how is very hard to share in the community due to many reasons as always owning your own copies is recommended by most sources.

I was setting this up the other day, and I've never known the terminology behind the controller. I hit the section and I was like, "C-Stick? Which one is that?" I had to look it up.

You change the input mode in the top navbar or in handheld settings. You're probably only seeing Retro Controller as a profile though.

I've mapped port 1 to the retroid handheld controls. I've mapped port 2 to an Xbox controller. The one thing I can't figure out is how to choose port 2 when I'm playing. If I try during the game, it says can't switch during game play. But I can't find how to do it before I start a game. Can anyone help please. TYIA

If the game supports multi-player and you have both controllers connected it should just pick them both up when you play games like Mario Kart for example.

Your videos are really helpful. I was thinking of ordering the retroid pocket 4 pro and was wondering if the setup up video for beginners for the retroid pocket 3 plus and how to put games on the retroid pocket you have on your channel works as well for the retroid pocket 4 pro

I am going to be updating the Retroid Pocket 3+ guide and plan to do a generic Retroid Pocket 4 guide soon. The reason being is because apps have drastically changed for emulation so I will be doing a time stamped video for each device rather than an entire playlist.

A controller option for the “retroid pocket controller” doesn’t come up. Only one for the Nintendo pro controller, which I set up to play. I also want to set up to play handheld as well. Do I need to “forgot” my Nintendo pro controller device?

If you have a Bluetooth controller connected to your device it will override your Retroids internal controller until it is turned off or disconnected. Otherwise the Retroid Pocket controller will show up as the controller to use.

I can't get the controls to work. I load the ROMs just fine, I set the controller settings, but the games will not accept my input. I can mash the "start" button all day, and nothing happens. Help? Please? I'll join your Patreon if you'll help me out!

Did you select the controller profile as the Retroid controller then set all the buttons and save them? Also are you using the latest version of Dolphin?

Sooo dolphin refuses to map my right stick. The key tester in dolphin sees it, but when I try to map it nothing happens...

Is it only Dolphin that does this? I feel like someone else had this issue too and restarted their RP4 then it worked.

my left stick seems to be overly sensitive. like when typing a name at the beginning of a game it will scroll through the whole keyboard with minimal input. how do i fix this?

Double check that you didn't double your joystick input when setting it up. Sometimes this happens when pressing the joystick you'll notice it if you see more than just axis 16+ for example it'll have two set axis inputs.

I'm torn between buying this and the Odin 2 . The only GameCube games that I really want to work well are Pokemon coliseum and gale of darkness. But I want to save some money lol

Odin 2 equals performance and less tweaking it's a one and done on the most part, Retroid you'll find you'll need to configure different settings periodically for certain games to run. Hope that helps as I will keep recommending the Odin 2 over the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro.

I was able to figure out how to switch to retro vs Xbox controller by input however set the “Retriod pocket controller” as my controller but none of the controllers are working when I play a game

You would need to setup the profile for each controller mode as each controller has a driver built into Retroids OS. So if you want to play using the Xbox controller mode setup a profile, set the buttons, then save the profile as Xbox. Same with Retroid.

Hello Dolphin is the same emulator for both Wii and GameCube the configuration for the graphics etc are the same for both so it makes perfect sense for this. But you have to setup different controllers for Wii and GameCube.

The thing about these devices is they're configured to perform better with the active cooling, and other jazz you won't get the same experience I did vigorous testing with my current S24 ultra against the Odin 2 and the Odin 2 still wins.

Is there a setting for being able to turn on game speed at 2x, 3x, 4x, ect like on other emulators? If so, where is that found?

There's no real fast forward option currently on Android at least. But there are save states.
