Amen sister and congrats on your success! You look amazing and the transformation in just 3 months is really noticeable. Your 10 month video is really proof that "you are what you eat" Way to go!! Very inspirational

I know this is an older video but carnivore crisps are Gaps friendly, to replace chips.

Really appreciate this video, especially about the reality of how hard it can be, the mom guilt, and appreciate the little pre-packaged hacks too! I’m so grateful for Costco sauerkraut! Because it’s A LOT to make everything from scratch. We have been slowly transitioning for a couple of months now and plan to be full GAPS in November. It’s daunting but figuring it out bit by bit. Excited to see my family on the other side of it.❤

I so enjoyed hearing about this! Thanks for sharing! We eat a lot of whole foods but that is a whole new level. If you have a good blender or food processor, my sister makes this ice cream that is just frozen strawberries and yogurt, which sounds like maybe something you could have!

Oh that sounds amazing!! We will have to try that, thank you! 😍

My daughter and I are looking for a new way of eating so I think we will look into this. You are healing your family as well as yourself. Would love to see some cooking videos! ❤❤❤

Thank you for sharing and being transparent with your journey. The intro is something I was so worried about with kids as well so we started this week on full gaps but I'm still hoping to do intro at some point.

The intro is SO hard! I’m sure it has really great benefits but we’ve noticed a huge difference just doing the full diet too!

There are actually some kinds of beans you are allowed to eat on GAPS

Thank you for the update! I've been waiting for this. I really want to try this. I started planning when you first mentioned the diet and I did my research.. I just need to pick a day and start now!

Oh yay!! You can do it!! It’s made such a big difference, just don’t get discouraged in the first few weeks! That’s normal 💕💕

So glad this is working for you! My family has been on a different diet (low FODMAP) since late last year and it's amazing what a good diet can do for a person. :) Can you buy pre-packaged marinara sauce (or other sauces)? I buy Rao's sensitive formula marinara sauce which only has tomatoes, olive oil, carrots, salt, celery, and basil!
@thecarolinafarmhouse Жыл бұрын
Oh I haven’t heard of those! I will check it out. We’ve been able to have a few Primal Kitchen sauces but not all of them! It feels so good to feel good doesn’t it?? 🙌🏼

I am so impressed with you jumping in like you did. Changing your diet can be so emotional! I have a diary sensitivity and I suspect one of my daughters does as well. Did your kids with sensitivities do better with dairy when you re-introduced it?
@thecarolinafarmhouse Жыл бұрын
Awww thank you friend!! It has been emotional but with each week that passes it gets so much better! Well Elliot has a dairy allergy and she’s done fine with the raw and fermented dairy but she did try some Parmesan cheese and had tummy issues so my guess is her gut still needs to heal

Hey thanks for your video, is it allowed to jave plantains in the gaps? Cause you talked about plantain chips and i looooove those.

Thanks for sharing! Where did you find all of the guidelines for the diet, in the book you suggest? I have all of the symptoms you list and am desperate for a change.

I love your site & all of your content. So first, let me say thank you. I have an auto immune disease as well as type two diabetes, and I am searching for the best overall diet. I have not done any research on gaps yet, so was wondering if you could just comment on what you’ve read with regard to this diet for diabetes. I will of course do my own research. If you tell me it did mention some benefits. Thanks so much Courtney.

I’ve been thinking of doing the GAPS diet now for awhile. I’m wanting the results but scared to try it. I know I’d be the only one in my family that would do it. The others wouldn’t consider it so I know it would be hard. (Also living 1 1/2 hours from a shopping centre and in Canada I doubt I could get any pre packaged items that would be approved on the diet 🤔) I appreciate the video as I like to learn about it as much as I can. I’d really like to see a variety of breakfast, and dinner ideas. Are you taking any supplements like omega 3 etc? Blessings!
@thecarolinafarmhouse Жыл бұрын
I have used Thrive Market to get my prepackaged snacks mailed to me! I have a coupon in the description. But it would definitely be hard to do by yourself 😩 but I think of you prepare and read up on the diet as much as you can, you can certainly do it! Yes I’m taking all kinds of supplements my functional medicine doctor has me on! Omega 3 is one of them!
