I've only used unilateral leg movements for the past couple years because of nagging lower back issues. I use those 4 exercises on a regular basis plus I have a sled I push. My glutes are stronger and I definitely feel more agile. I'm 31 and no longer an athlete but I still train like one.

I played football for Mayfield high school in Kentucky. I’m studying the weight room side of the game and am doing lessons to help kids in my community be prepared for our program.

What do you guys think of side-to-side squats like Werner Gunthor used to do for athletic development?

What exercises do you think makes a better athlete? Unilateral movements or bilateral movements? Love to hear from you! 👇

can unilateral leg training replace bilateral leg training altogether?
@davidrajaruzicka55463 жыл бұрын
@@erchguyj1234 I think you need both in order to make a complete all-around athlete

Excellent. Add sled/car pushes and you have a great blueprint for most athletic endeavors 🤙

When I do single leg squats [SLS] I have a hard time staying balanced on my foot. Does that mean that my ankles are weak? If so, how do I strengthen?

Yeah I had the same issue. Did you find any solutions?

Been meaning to ask you Dane - is that a custom made padded rack for single leg work or is it available through a retailer? Thanks man - appreciate your vids - bought one of your E-books not too long ago

It looks pretty standard. I looked up a balance pad on Amazon and there is some like the one he’s using

Hey there, I am trying to work on explosive movements and then quick deceleration to get into positions for competitive/3gun shooting. Love the content.

Thanks so much for the support! We are actually in the beginning phases of making content for tactical training so we hope that will be able to help you. Explosive, athletic movements are crucial for that type of training 👍

Why single leg squats but not Bulgarian split squats??
@jackpartridge78912 жыл бұрын
@Invisible Watermelon no, one is with a barbell the other is with dumbbells, different centre of gravities which may emphasis performance towards one thing or two
