I felt so bad for Elsie in this episode, the way the team threw her under the bus because she won the challenge on soup. I admire the fact she didn't throw them under the bus when asked if she thought she had support from her team during dinner service. She didn't have their support, but she didn't throw them under the bus. Broke my heart.

You don't have to be skinny to call someone fat. In fact, as a fatty himself, I'd say he has more licence to call someone fat than anyone else. He said it with quite a bit of contempt, but as a fatso himself it's hard to get offended by his specific use of the word fat. Were he a skinny, that's a different story altogether.
@carloszestyboy2901
@carloszestyboy2901 Жыл бұрын
@Michael Heliotis Nah I think it makes someone look like a bleeding hypocrite. If you don’t have the discipline to lose weight (aware of his more recent weight loss but not at the time) but then call someone else way smaller than you fat because they also don’t have the discipline to lose weight, it makes you look like you have zero self-awareness. You don’t HAVE to be skinny but it definitely gives more credence to the two different levels of discipline and awareness. On top of that Robert’s shown to be a vindictive asshole some times so it’s not really surprising,

The difference between how Ramsay/the show treated Elsie and Julia is shameful and shocking. While in S1 the other chefs disliked her because of her non-chef background at least Ramsay always had her back. Meanwhile in S3 Julia's Waffle House job is almost always treated as an insult even if she's getting a point. And is it just me or is it weird that he gave a point towards a bowl of tomato soup yet thought steak and fish were beneath the challenge?

Most of the contestants beside Michael, Ralph and Chris are not even professional chefs and it felt like Masterchef. But since Season 3, the bar and the standard are high since the first 2 seasons, the customers are mostly leaving because the food takes too long. Looking back at Elsie's win, I was stunned at the amount of jealousy from Jessica and Ralph, or I'd forgotten. These contestants overall are horrible, self-centered people. It's all because Elsie wasn't a professional chef, but Jessica forgot Ramsay liked her dishes' flavor but gave her 0 for presentation.

Season 3 suprises me, they have 30 minutes to make the dishes and used up close to 13-15 minutes to decide on what their doing... they all have themselfs to blame. Also, people should really stop underestimating Soups and Stews, theyre not hard to made depending on the ingredients, but you need to worry about what its gonna look like in terms of color.

What makes soups difficult is the balance of flavors. If the stock is bad, then the soup is bad. And you would be surprised on how many people can't make a good stock.

I love this challenge. I worked a restaurant in n.y. and when we made baked potatoes for the day we always made extra for breakfast. We would chop up the extras and make fried potatoes. I still do I my home til this day whenever I make baked potatoes for dinner.
