Think about his motivation for more than two seconds and you'll realize this, at the start he wants to be a monster because he has a grudge against the heroes and doesn't like the concept because most people with power become bullies, then he meets the monsters and realizes, "damn these dudes are actually evil" and starts fighting them too and changes his goal to becoming stronger than EVERYONE and forcing them to change their ways, but he doesn't even think about how he would do that he's just on a rampage. Saitama is a perfect example of being the strongest and still not being able to make real change, I can see them interacting in the future and Garou realizing this and basically just joining the S Class heroes, maybe he'll achieve hybrid monsterization and be able to cycle through all his forms too that would be sick.

If there is one character's whose adaption, martial arts, and accelerated power growth were so op it makes Garou's look pale in comparison it would Mori Jin from the God of Highschool. That man's power escalation multipliers becomes so maddening at the end you could say he would be a good contender for Dragon Ball Super tiers. To him power gaps of amps of 200,000 times is a common occurrence for his verse's later fights where reality warping is a easy technique even when fighting opponents who can copy his abilities in return.

tbf roshi, a master of all martial arts on earth vs garou is still contentious skillwise, the former mainly gives a lot of versatility, but roshi still has to switch between the individual martial arts to use them, garous perfected fist is him fusing/combining all his martial arts into 1 ultimate martial art, allowing him to perfectly use all of them simultaneously, and many of these martial arts techniques garou uses are almost indistinguishable from actual superpowers when you look ar how they work, they are not just any ordinary martial arts

I think a lot of people forget that many Dragon Ball characters, including Goku, have the same technique mimicry that Garou demonstrates. Goku could and likely would copy many of Garou's techniques. Also, Garou's extreme adaptability also has a name in Dragon Ball, Pure Progress, and it is demonstrated by characters like Freeza, Hit, and Jiren amongst others whose adaptability and growth rate surpass even the Saiyan race's own ridiculous innate rate of growth.

@@leontriestoart During the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku copied King Chappa's Hasshuken (Eight-Arm Fist) and used it counter Tenshinhan's Four Witches Technique. This technique is pure martial arts, no ki manipulation. This is just one example. He also copied Roshi's Drunken Fist and Afterimage Technique during the 21st tournament. So no, Goku _can_ copy pure martial arts. Also, Garou didn't figure out time travel. He wasn't able to complete the technique so had to leave it to Saitama after teaching him what he already knew.

Garou's rapid evolution is vastly underestimated --- he evolved from mhs to ftl, from city to planetary --- plus his techniques border on magical (water stream deflecting almost all attacks back with twice the force, excluding such cases as the Darkshine fight, not to mention awakening breath + MSCGF which forced Saitama to use consecutive normal punches, two-handed in the webcomic). If both are bloodlusted and immediately going for the kill full strength it may be mid-dif for Garou but if it takes more than a minute Garou low-difs. He went from being on par with platinum to PERCEPTION BLITZING within a microsecond. There are other techniques for which Goku has no counter, like the power of the RASRF shockwaves and (depending on which version you use between SC and CFM) the durability negation of Fa Jin.

Interesting I knew Original Dragon Ball was well in planet busting but Yottatons would mean large planetary according to the comprehensive energy scale page. The speed stats seem pretty underwhelming then I was thinking. I would have thought Goku would have been the ranges of FTL to ten times FTL in the combat speed category. Beneath that Original Dragon Ball would be falling behind. Some people like Satori believe Meteoric Burst Boros is relative to a newly awakened Cosmic Fear Garou and his first transformation form being stronger then all the large Monster Gargoyle Forms. And the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon and the Gamma Ray Burst being relatively close to each other in the same tier, that is Satori's mindset. Satori's also goes into detail about the multipliers and the minimum requirements needed to one shot a opponent which would be seven times multiplier and the potential energy he does apply this to the Monster Association as well including measuring how strong Orochi got from Psykos yet even then still got one shot by Tatsumaki when she in a injured state went all out.

I'd say Goku's skill would be higher, because while Roshi and Bang have similar statements, Dragon Ball seems to have a higher benchmark of skill. Man Wolf who was considered pretty much garbage by Roshi is a 30th degree black belt-that doesn't even exist. The highest is 10 for most martial arts. Man Wolf isn't even close to the top of normal people, given people like Mr. Satan, King Chappa, Upa's father and more. Ki usage in OG Dragon Ball required martial skill that "transcend" human skill in Roshi's own words. I'd also say 22nd tournament Goku definitely surpasses Roshi in skill as Roshi was equal to Tien while Goku outfought Tien using more of his abilities. Both are also one look copy gods so they'd be stealing each other's moves throughout the fight. I'd also argue Garou's "special" moves would just be bad versions of the various ki techniques Goku's dealt with. Especially since OPM did confirm shockwaves were generated by their own ki, which is garbage next to DB's as of now. It's above normal hand to hand, sure, but compared to ki? Yeah....

We kind of low balled Goku's speed for this match up huh? I think they are fare closer to comparable than this video would imply. As it pointed out, Goku literally dodges lasers, and blitzes light. -Then he gets stomped by King Piccolo... -Who boosts his power by regaining his youth. -Then you have Popo who casually manhandles the same Goku that beat King Piccolo. -Then we have Kami who's power dwarfs Popo's (insert Team 4 Star joke about Popo being the most powerful ever.). -Then assuming that Kami's power doesn't increase at all while Goku is training, you have Piccolo JR, who is powerful enough that even if there were 100 people at the level of power that Kami, Roshi, Tien, ETC are at, he would still beat them, and this is finally where we have Goku at (though, Goku tends to have the upper hand in the fight, until Piccolo ends up shattering Goku's bones and whatnot.). I do not think that Garou has nearly the speed advantage that this video seems to imply. Side note, the argument of the Solar flare being viable even later in the series, there is a major reason for that being the case. The guidebook tells us that the solar flare is turning Ki into light. We know that characters can project ki at the same kinds of speeds that they themselves are capable of moving at. So, as the series progresses, and light speed becomes less and less relevant (which happens even when solar flare is first introduced.), they are simply projecting ki, then turning that ki into light. This would also explain why simply closing your eyes, or even the sunglasses trick, don't work in the future (except for one instance in the tournament of power, which lets be honest, that was less of an antifeat, and more of just a call back to Goku doing his thing.).

Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta which has 10x the gravity of Earth in his weakest form. Vegeta did not need to charge an attack to destroy the Earth, he charged it so that Goku wouldn't be able to stop it.

Garou Blitzes and one shots, nobody in DB was even light speed. Goku had to train to dodge lightning just before the 23 tournament. Garou is multi times ftl and can dura neg with Fajin. Also the “Large planet” level calc for the moon bust was debunked. Even the calc itself is stated wrong in the comments, had that explosion also been large planet level in power the chunks from the moon would have destroyed the earth there.
