Hey Gary, love from India. I have a fascination for posture and muscular imbalance. From some shots of you walking around, I could see your slanted posture towards the left. I always thought you must have been feeling pain in left lower back, left sciatica and if you are sensitive enough, it will extend to your left middle back too. I am glad you brought it up in this video. While the soft ball and roller can provide relief, the stretch can work towards fixing it. But everytime you sit down for extended periods of time, the pain will come back. This is because overtime, some muscles on the left side of the body have shortened and this posture is now embedded in your muscle memory. A very simple thing you can do is put some object under your left bottom like a folded towel. This will even out the length discrepancy and you will see that you can work for longer without pain. You can fix it with exercises but it will take a long time if you do not do the above. There are many exercises to fix the imbalance.The exercise you are doing in the video is great too. One way is the Kit Laughin method. He is in Australia but maybe one of his students is in New York.

@Unmaleable5 жыл бұрын
@@MissChievousRN Stop hiring people and basing it on "how little can I pay this person". If you are a small business then keeping your first employees poor and dependent on you is a sure fire way to make them leave. Pay them well enough that leaving would make no sense and watch how they flourish... Most business owners have too much of a "I get all the money" mentality. If you look back on the stories of a lot of BIG businesses their owners they dealt with the pain of paying employees and overhead while walking away with just a few bucks knowing that if the remained persistent in expansion and growth. Then the big bucks for THEM would come later. If its just you and 1 other person or you and less than 5 people you better make them feel like they own the company too and their pockets should also feel that way. Don't listen to these jackasses telling you to be ruthless towards the people helping you. If you have less than 10 employees they are not "working for you" they are helping you.
@MissChievousRN5 жыл бұрын
@@Unmaleable Gosh! Thank you so much for your unsolicited and painfully ignorant advice!! We haven't drawn a dime from our company in 5yrs. We aren't hiring based on "how little can we pay them" or "keeping them poor and dependent". We are training people from the ground up ie ENTRY LEVEL and paying them quite well at the expense of our own paychecks and both of our employees have been with us for a couple years and were our first hires. They also make TWICE what other companies are paying and have benefits and are quite happy. Both bought new cars this year. We fire people who waste company time, refuse to be taught, have poor work ethic, have entitlement attitudes, can't dress, groom, or behave professionally, and cannot show up on time. No excuses for basic manners. We do ALL the tech ourselves because no one else CAN. They don't have the skills or experience for the bigger jobs. To hire a pro on par with my husband and I would cost us $150k a year minimum and that's only if we could get them to relocate! That is what my comment was in reference to. Our business is extremely successful and we know exactly what we are doing. I would rein in the rude nasty comments if you have no idea what you are talking about.
@Unmaleable5 жыл бұрын
@@MissChievousRN Maybe if you weren't so hostile towards advice you'd find good entry level employee's. This is the internet by the way...People are going to respond to you whether you like it or not. I may have been a bit harsh but that's just because I find many small businesses want to try and operate like big businesses expecting experienced workers to come work for them for a fraction of the price. I've been burned by many a small business I tried assisting and maybe I took that out on you.
