I have a skunk under my back porch, raccoons in my brick carriage house, bats in the gable of the carriage house, and squirrels in my oak tree. I like to share my space with them, and we get along well. I love seeing the raccoon babies on their first ventures outside. I used to hand rear orphaned babies, and would again. I also have rabbit some years, and a pair of nesting cardinals and a woodpecker every year. I enjoy that they feel safe in my wild planted yard…it is like a forest edge. Occasionally I have morning doves in my sofit, and once had a wee pair of brown owls in my apricot trees. I miss my still pond, but we had to fill it in when West Nile was coming. I appreciate your love of our city animals, and your safe gentle relocation process. If any ever get out of control or in the house, I will only call you…we are in Toronto.🖤🇨🇦

I remember as a teen being on a bus to go from southern Manitoba to the north . There was wildlife on the side of the road and the bus driver stopped to let us look she was a very loud person she yelled look everyone there r some moose haaaa it was a deer with her baby. Further along there was a family of wild ducks going across the road again the bus stopped she yelled omg look at all the chickens haaaaaaa. No one corrected her. That was the funny part haaaaaaaaa love animals a lot myself. She was our tour guide. And so excited to stop and show us the wildlife of the north

I think they are probably just ignorant, as many people are, about how inhumane mouse traps are. Educating them about it would be the best solution. Knowledge is power!

They were afraid not knowing what kind of animal was I their bathroom, so maybe had more barriers than needed Let me just say this….if I had a tarantula or 10” centipede (again) in my bathroom I would have electrified barriers everywhere!!! Add a snake to that and I would just move out!

Your knowledge of the various animals you have to deal with is a great asset in your line of work. Another great asset would have to be your temperament. I don't think I could keep my cool as well as you seem to when being bit by these critters. Probably why YOU are handling the urban wildlife and I'M driving a forklift in a factory (and God bless you for it).

They may have put down the trap, and when that didn't work, they called Gates to come. I would think they were overwhelmed after a squirrel nearly fell on them while they were using the bathroom, and they had no idea what animal it was, just that an animal fell out of the ceiling.
