Fantastic! My old man was a hobby geologist with a bit of palaeontology thrown in and had a couple of small cut geodes many decades back. They were always passed down to kids in the family, so I don't even know who has them now. But they are always beautiful to see and great fun to own!

I have dreamt of owning a cathedral my whole life; literally since I was about 7 years old. This will be my year. Honestly, I’m only at the part of the video where a big piece cracked and broke off, but I felt my heart break with it. I’ll be 45 in April, and I am manifesting an amethyst cathedral this year. Wish me luck!

For future reference you should have cut it from a line that circumnavigated the whole geode, placing the cutting disc from the top instead of cutting it from the side to avoid a crack or fracture.

The best deal I ever got was when I happened to pass by a 'Psychic & Mineral Expo' in Los Angeles on the morning after their last day. They allowed me to walk through and look at what remained. I was able to purchase a carved geod, of a beautiful, amyethest heart. When I returned home, out of state, the single mineral, metaphysical shop in town, had a similar amythest heart for $450! I mean, we just can't continue placing profit above helping and healing everything, everyone. Thank you both💎

I can help with some information on lapidary saws. Lortone is one company, there are several mostly in the USA, they are expensive. Two types, automatic feed and gravity feed, gravity feed is lowest priced and has less parts, they can be faster cutting. Look at masonary saws, they cost less but the cut is not as deep. Making one or having one made is a serious option and probably a lot cheaper. Good luck

Cut it on the ground. A saw that big and heavy shouldn’t be held up like that if you can help it. Plus any debris that gets kicked out by the blade won’t hit you in your torso.

Because of the water trapping the dust and the mask, there really wasn't much of a smell while cutting. After, there was a faint smell of water/metal/dust.

Should use a waterjet. Geodes of that size deserve more precision than this cut
