You can factory reset as well

Yup but you have to hit the program/learn on the power unit to sync up the keypad again that way people just can’t factory reset your keypad to gain access

You’ll have to find the model number of your keypad and Google what the factory reset code is

And polarity is correct I assume? If it’s not lighting up could be bad then. You can get replacements

It does unless for the GK keypad. If you’ve already changed your code the factory 357 won’t work any longer. You’ll have to factory reset and resume to the power head unit. www.geniecompany.com/remote-and-keypad-programming

Sure does. You'll need the new code if you want to change it though. Factory code doesn't work after it's been reprogrammed. You can factory reset it though

You can also hold program and up/down button to factory reset code

Not wrong at all. Can’t reprogram without the new code after it changes unless you repair to the opener which you have to be in the inside to do.
