As someone who speaks Norwegian, I would note there are bigger discrepancies, particularly between Icelandic. The other three I can agree with, but Icelandic is far harder to understand. As someone who speaks Norwegian as my second language, I can pretty much understand Swedish and Danish. But, would rather speak english to an Icelander. Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish are like siblings, Icelandic is like our close cousin. And Finish is that weird neighbor down the street.

One thing you didn't mention, and it's probably one of the most important things, is the explanation behind the high tax system. We get free medical care (no matter what it is), free tuition (from elementary schools to high schools to universities to workman educations - everything is covered). Now, we're just getting started. Students, when older than 18, get paid for studying. This amount can go up to $950 every month. You see, we're covered by the state of Denmark. If we're educating ourselves, we get a thank you that can cover accommodation, food and more every month. If we're fired, we're getting unemployment benefits. These are just one of the great things about Denmark and why I strongly believe that it's one of the best countries in the world. To sum up: Denmark has a stable government, low levels of public corruption, and access to high-quality education and health care. And yes, the country does have the highest taxes in the world, but the vast majority of Danes happily pay as we believe that higher taxes can create a better society.

+AlexanderPihl Let clarify something about our healthcare system. Far from everything is covered. Dentistry is not covered, physio therapy is not covered, mental health is covered if you don’t die before you actually get to your appointment. Most psychiatrists have a waitlist of 6-12 months, some even longer. If it’s an emergency there is help to get but you better have strong plans of how you’re going to kill your self before you’ll get a bed for the night. I have spent the better part of 20 with a depression that was difficult to kick and of those I spent 1,5 years in bed because my depression was so bad that I barely could take care of myself. I knew I was not sick enough to get the help I needed, so I decided to wait it out. Believe I was grateful for the 3 years of cancer treatment my mother had before she died, but we need to not kid ourselves in regards to our healthcare system. There is a reason we only rank 3-4 places below the US in healthcare, mental health being a big part of it.

I spent 3 weeks in Danemark one summer with my parents, my brother and my cousin. It was one of the best country I ever visited, and I visited a lot of places ^^ I would just rank Canada higher in my preferences but that is due to personal memories and not an objective point of view. I remember this one time when I forgot my bag in a park, we came back looking for it two hours later and it was just at it place, with nothing missing. First time I lost something in a public place and no one stole it.

Big ♥HUGS!♥ from Tyskland to my nearest neighbor! Loved this video! Danmark has a very rich history too, wish the video had covered it some more other than just mentioning the (admittedly awesome) Vikings. My part of Germany was once Danish and you still find some artifacts from those days all over the region, like mile stones along the country roads, Danish names for towns and streets, even the preserved historical house of the customs officer and what's left of a Viking settlement! Our shared history had many downs but we're close friends and neighbors today ♥

Love most of the video. Just a bit weird to highlight the christmas trees as a main export of Denmark. Traditionally we've been a major producer of pork and the food culture is heavily influenced by pork dishes. We're also a major exporter of medicine, as Novo Nordisk is the worlds leading insulin producing company. Of course, A.P. Møller - Mærsk was a danish guy who started Maersk, as we all know. Then, we have a large market share in high-end audio products from companies such as B&O, Brüel & Kjær, Oticon etc. So I promise we do more than grow fir trees and wheat, lol

Really thinking about moving to Denmark, learning their language, love their culture, love their system and social democracy. Have lots of ideas when I get there

Tiger 73 you would be welcome, we can at first seem a bit distant, but if we invite oh home say yes otherwise it's insulting(getting invited into a home, means you approved)

Barron Goldsmith sure there are racists, every country has them, but all of us, no, we got problems with people that don't respect our culture, or think religion overrules the rules of our society, we love our country so disrespect it yes you won't get a good welcoming. But show some respect and you will find us welcoming and warm, yes we tend to have to need to check you out first but once done no problem(HINT: Make fun of the Swedes and you are more or less goos)

Loved the video! As a Dane it was really fun to hear someone else's view on our flat little country. I do however think that it was a mistake to say that Denmark was a founding member of the Eu... In case anyone was wondering Denmark joined the EU in 1973 together with Great Britain and Ireland and the founding countries were Belgium, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
