Awesome set from a great comic! George Lopez has been honing his craft for decades. As a comic, I love to watch how he incorporates his material and personal background together with solid timing and delivery for the audience. Everyone sees the “funny” in his material (even if it is a mostly white crowd). Certain elements of comedy might be planned, but laughter is primal. Bravo, George!

George Lopez makes me laugh. His observations on Mexican culture in California is classic. But in todays climate he can't do his act. That's a shame. People would call him racist. His TV show did the same thing. He just hits everyone. No one is safe from his cultural jabs! Very funny man. " Come on, Donkey!"
@Bigbodipapi Жыл бұрын
This type of comedy wouldn’t be bashed in todays world 🤣 Making fun of Mexican accents and white accents isn’t racist

This was in 1997 this was recorded. This was recorded in front of a bunch of college age kids 21 years ago today the room would be crickets and an occasional boo and cries of racist or "safety safety" , it's unbelievable how PC things have become nowadays , bratty little college kids won't even let a Mexican comic make fun of other Mexican dudes stereotypes. Which is what comedy really does it's makes fun of the stereotypes. These kids don't understand they're too sensitive and they're boring and they're a drag to be around . These brats nowadays would call George a self hater and a racist , it's pathetic.

Just got through seeing your life and comedy. That was good, and I learn so many things about you. Worked 7 years as a nurse on the Renal Floor. Not too much I did not learn about renal failure. Your renal problem is what made your skin the way it is. Yes I took care of pts who had a kidney transplant too. Please take care of yourself. Be compliant. Listen to your physician. Sorry Cinco De Mayo means nothing to me! Not even to the Mexico Mexicans, from what I hear. But anyway, love you George.

CONFIDENCE?????arrogance is what it is .we come from proud and respectful beginnings and some times we forget what respect is que no.my father was a real American cowboy bringing cattle from Mexico all the way to Utah ,Colorado and arizona.in the early 40's he was only 14 yrs old and he was proud and I was proud every time he told those wonderful stories and traveling with the rodeo circuit !!! CHICANO !AND HE WAS BROWN AND PROUD AND HE NEVER TURNED AWAY FROM ANOTHER CHICANO THAT WANTED TO LEARN TO BE A BROWN AMERICAN COWBOY HE TOUGHT ANY ONE WHO WANTED THAT EXPERIENCE.so George Lopez you break mine and every brown skinned warrior that had to scratch ant fight and pull our selves up from our boot straps to climb to the top.acuerdate Este batalle no solamente es tuyo tienes que levantar a TU Raza con orgullo para que TU digas we stand strong together !!!!!!QUE VIVA LA RAZA UNIDA!!!!!
