My favorite story by George R.R. Martin is "Sandkings". I'll never forget it. It might be my favorite short story of all the authors. Although, "Of Mist, Grass and Sand" is up there too, along with "A Boy and His Dog". So, so many of them!! I bless all the authors, the book makers and those who taught me how to read. They've made my life so much more interesting than it would have been without them.

Watching game of thrones after reading the books is hard because a song of ice and fire is such a well thought out masterpiece. He will finish it perfectly I believe
@princesseuphemia10073 жыл бұрын
Yeah if he manages to finish it before he dies. Let's hope so but not be too mad at him if he doesn't because he's still a human being after all who might want to enjoy the golden years of his life however he sees fit, even if that means not finishing the books. I suspect that ironically the popularity of his books may have been exactly the thing that killed his passion for them and put so much pressure and exhaustion on him helping with the writing of the TV show that writing the books just felt like more drudgery to him at some point and his passion for the world he created fizzled out under all that pressure. Like he himself said in this interview, he wouldn't want to be king, because being king would actually be a really tough job, and well...he did become King and it looks like it exhausted him into a major writer's block. No matter how it plays out, remember we will still always have fanfiction. :) In any case he's still a genius, and I hope he gets to find that spark again, finish the books, and live a happy life forever after.

People who criticize George RR Martins stories regarding conflicts of Sex, Race, Slavery, ect. most likely don’t have basic knowledge of world history. Did they really expect a fantasy story in a land where everyone’s the same without conflict? How these “critics” are taken seriously is beyond me.

He touches on exactly why I hate Marvel movies. Marvel Heroes & Villains are mostly strictly good, or bad, and I've always found that to be incredibly boring, and add to that the fact that superhero movies these days are all cookie-cutter stories with basically the same structure and hitting the same story beats, just leaves me incredibly bored. Morally ambiguous characters are always far more interesting and intriguing than simple black hat and white hat characters.
