Bush's withdrawal from the ABM treaty started the deterioration of our relations with Russia. As a registered Republican I confidently say that Bush is the worst Republican president in my lifetime, maybe even this century. You can criticize Hoover for the depression, Harding for the teapot dome scandal, and Nixon for Watergate. But the repercussions of all that stuff were so short lived and minor compared to the damage that Bush did.

As a millennial who grew up as a kid in the late 90s/early 00's I remember harboring a lot of resentment for George Bush Jr back then, during his presidency. Looking back though now, and especially in lite of his recent interviews etc he really does seem like a whole world better than where we're at now and I have a great respect for him now.

The problem is that the same global geopolitical situation that we acknowledge today is as in 1998 by which the economical reality in the Us was pretty much clear.
