There's a second at 2:04 where he points at her shoes and smiles - 😊Mary Blige's record company wouldn't allow them to put this on her album even though she wanted it - the homophobia was on fire here in the states and this wasn't long after he was busted in L.A. George was really angry about that decision because Blige did want it on her album. It is such a great tune - I love the concept. Was great to see her in his documentary released after his death (Freedom Uncut). His voice in the early part when he's walking into the room - gorgeous as always. He's the DJ in the very end - hadn't noticed that the first time I watched.

I'm pretty much of the same opinion regarding remakes.. but I've literally just watched Stevie on one of the music channels and I've just watched GM & MJB right here. They did an awesome job, keeping it faithful to the original version but with a slightly more urban vibe, due to Mary's huskier voice. Didn't appreciate George back in the day when he was part of Wham; songs were OK, but candyfloss and bubblegum pop. The talent was always there, bursting to come out, it was only when he went solo that the world saw what he was really made of and now I see that he was a truly gifted and talented man, with one of the best ( in my opinion) voices and songwriting skills the UK has produced in the last 30 or so years. The British love of American soul and R'n'B goes back a long way. George grew up listening to it and he essentially became a soul singer himself who had the ability to write and produce great songs. I will love George Michael forever. He was just unique, the only one,a true musician and So so handsome inside and outside. It's so sad that he was so frustrated inside and unhappy himself during his last 10 yrs of life as he had to take refuge in drugs mostly.People ran for glimpse of him and he was running for peace in life although being so talented and rich. All his billions have been donated by him. What a great soul !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😭😭
