Don't laugh, but I must say you are the 1st guy out of thousands I've watched give a tutorial who ACTUALLY TUNED HIS GUITAR WHEN IT WENT OUT OF TUNE. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Out of tune acoustics drive me nuts. Awesome arrangement and a way to do this with some percussion and dynamics. I've been putting people to sleep with my arrangement and wondering why, lol. I've always had incredible keyboard players, 30 years, now its just me and guitar and although I'm getting better at supporting my vocals on guitar I have a long way to go. I'm going to try and tackle this thank you thank you. This is also going to make me get my action set up a little bit lower which I've been putting off. Great playing and I must say Ray is probably my all time fav singer/artist and this is one of my top 10 all time fav songs. All the best.

Great arrangement and lesson! My only quibble is that when you play the D aug5 chord at 11:23 and again at 12:02, you’re playing a “regular” (non-augmented) fifth (A) with your pinky on the high E string, 5th fret - sounds horrible to my ear!
@Joe_Robinson2 жыл бұрын
Haha thank you! I like the dissonance in that chord, but it is a case of ‘seasoning to taste’ !!
@jeffscott66312 жыл бұрын
He’s playing inversion chords. You can do this just using bar chords for the g minor and c9. Guitar is about convenience. If it’s not convenient, it’s probably wrong. Nice job dude

Haha I am an American citizen actually , been here 12 years now. Check the Martin Taylor version with Don Peake, it's so great. They are both amazing and as I explain in this video a lot of the licks are from the way Don plays it. Cheers!
