I really do believe the reason Louis feels Armand is boring is because he gets his mind wiped every time they get into a fight big enough to break them up. If all the hills and valleys of their relationship are sanded away every day can only be bland.

Louis likes drama! Armand wants to lay up and chill. Louis with his obsession with Armand and chasing them young boys shows he likes mess because it’s a distraction from his pain. Armand wipes his mind because he’s over depressed Louis and his trauma experiences

I saw this episode twice and I'm still in shock processing it all. Not only is Armand on "unalive watch", which I do empathize for, but ultimately he's also keeping Louis away from Les? Oof... my head is spinning.
