So many people can’t make a tie look good. A tie with a dimple always elevated a suit.

A short but simple video. I never paid attention whether my tie had a dimple or not but now I'm going to purposefully decide that.

So Why is it better to have a dimple? I was thinking not having it looks cleaner.
@mattinman82856 жыл бұрын
David Lee Agreed. The dimple makes it look like you were lazy and didn't tie it properly..
@RealMenRealStyle6 жыл бұрын
It gives the tie dimension to the tie knot - as well as inviting the eye to linger on any fancy knot work you’ve done.

Same, I wear zero dimple.
@djmikio6 жыл бұрын
Really depends on the tie. Ties with a light fabric weight but a wide diameter, to me, look better with a dimple. Check out Keanu Reeves in his John Wick movies. Sharpest dressed dude since Bond and unless he's wearing a skinny tie he always rocks a dimple.
@WLOfails6 жыл бұрын
I thought that too. I would try to make the tie flat when I saw that.

Great tip. I've been wearing a tie since I was around 11 years old, yet never knew people intentionally wanted the dimple in the tie. I've always just gotten it out of dumb luck.

This may have already been asked but I am curious as to if a dimple signifies anything special or it's just changing up your style? I also have an unrelated question. I am working as a manufacturing engineer and as such I am working with a lot of grease, oil products metal shavings and such. I want to be able to dress stylist enough daily for impromptu meetings with the leaders of the business, while not ruining good cloths. I was curious if you had any brand recommendations or specific clothing options. Thanks.

It adds an extra dimension to the tie. A dimple that is in proportion to the knot makes the tie curve a little better out and down.

These are simple ways to get dimples every time. However, I do feel that the dimples in the video can be made nicer. One way would be to tighten the knot more so that the dimple is more pronounced. The knot will have a greater 3d effect that way.

Dear, top notch, adequate master of clothings, apparence and Man self respect. I might give this tip to my Shepherd of a small congregation. A shadow of him is better dress and when preaching goes accusatory. Will you take offence that I won't reveal that this knowledge is from you, my Shepherd is to honnest to give his attention on other things than this book of fables for orphans and widows. That do not mistake, I took this book as Water in my early fall on earth. I got to experiment little ascentions. Little attentions to the Shepherd, could make a difference. Me personnally saw a tie at 70$ at Winners, the paterns out of metatron, purplish, perfect for mee. But, way too luxuous for my lifestyle. I seem to belong to the dust. My head dreaming of kingdoms of all sorts. Dear Antonio, thank you to elevatate my mind. QÜESTIÓN. How much should I expect to pay for a tie, humble ok... but usefull investement? Durability, quality and hearthbeat is what matter the most for me. But not supose to adore myself, in debt from all sides. - Extra small frame.
