Every time I think I’ve got a lot on my plate I watch one of your videos to remind myself I really haven’t 😅

Great work. Steel handling is serously heavy and hard, much respect.

well Tim, been posted missing for a while . Havn't had a chance to catch up so takin it from here what a difference a month makes. Gettn on like a house on fire. The throw away comment at the end that we are waiting on the new arrival came as a bit of a surprise to me. You have been a very busy boy. Anyways lots to do .Btw that drill you are using i believe it was called a Limpet Drill least it was about 40 years ago when i used it in a fabrication shop. Lookn forward to the new vids coming up. Onwards and upwards. Later 😂

Think the modern name is a mag drill.

The inside webs on a 254 are all the same for the different poundage the bigger the poundage the extra weight is put onto the top and bottom flanges this applies to all USB also

Yeah sorry just did a rubbish job of explaining. I see, the webs are constant hadnt spotted that.

Hi Tim I may have missed the answer somewhere but why don’t you have your beams welded rather than bolted? Keep up all the great work.
@TheRestorationCouple4 ай бұрын
It's been a combination really. Original spec by engineer was mostly bolted as I imagine most people would have it fabricated off site. As we have Dave on site we can do either. The remaining work is mostly welding now.

Good old planning committee - allows a brand new roof yet insists on retaining shit planking for historical significance 🤦
@TheRestorationCouple4 ай бұрын
Well until the last day of consideration they were pushing for us to keep the old asbestos roof so at least we got the roof! 😀

The thing is they applied for a conversion and not a newbuild, which I think most others would have gone for. The conversion rules do clearly state you are to retain as much of the outer appearance as possible, as that is what people see.
