I sure get some funny looks here in Upstate NY, running around with the Ole 76 Chevy K20, always loaded to the gills with firewood, with the Pro Mac 700, And Mac 10-10 stuffed between the bed rail and the wood. Your a real Inspiration Buckin'!

John) Hello right back at ya from Michigan! How 'bout the Old Merc? She Hauls, Eh? This video made me long for one of my old trucks. I bet I've owned at least a dozen of the old F-250's and a couple of 350's as well in my younger years. Bad thing about Michigan winters, road salt just tears the old girls up. Seemed like old home week looking in that cab. Wishing you and yours only the best my friend. Be Blessed!

Great, not only do I need to scower Craigslist for a mcculloch chainsaw. But now I need you to make me a splitting axe. Info please. I have to say I started watching you a couple weeks ago and seeing you run these old mcculloch chain saws made me grab my dads old poulan 306sa running. It hasn't ran in over 20+ years! It needs a good sharpening and file the rakers down. I didn't even know filing the rakers was part of sharpening the chain. Thanks Buckin!

Just don't have to hit the brakes quick or all that firewood will come to visit you in the cab. Not to mention those saws without scabbards on them. I always put my saws in the cab with me when I had a full load of wood in the back.

Sure is one tough truck that old Merc...they don't build them like that nowadays... Man, I've seen many guys cooking their saws by pushing them too hard as Vic said..the fuel almost boiling in the tank by the saw overheating..and running them with no bar oil, that's pretty common with newbies, at least here it seems..
@sawsurgeon6 жыл бұрын
TheNortherner) I concur with what you're saying. People are in too much of a hurry to learn from those with experience. Some are inclined to think the dogs are more like a 'Dull Chain Override'! I have a friend who is 70 years old, raised on a farm and has cut wood to some degree or another nearly all his life. He is lucky if he gets three years out of a saw. Every time I hear him stall out the chain, I nearly shed a tear for the poor clutch! So, with that being said, it isn't just the newbies! Be Blessed!
@thenorthener68556 жыл бұрын
You're right on the money...it's not just newbies...people who should have a fair bit of experience also treats chainsaws as pry bars...Dull Chain Override!!Haha!! Gotta remember that one :) I've got a 1984-85 Husky 262, a little tweaked, with a 24 " bar...fantastic little saw, does everything I need it to, but I never force it...as Buckin' says: it's all in the filing :)
