Getting Started in 3DS Max 2021 (part 4) - 2D Lines

In this part I am going to show you how to work with 2D lines, how to edit them and maybe fix some errors. All that is done to use those 2D line to create 3D geometry. That will be covered in the next part.

The „line undo“ (that is not what it is called) is usually done with the backspace key.

Hi. Don‘t worry, you will be able to adjust the lines more accurately with practice. Play with an some other examples or logos and move on. Have fun!

hi. i followed all steps but I cant fill the bat with colour. the only thing that gets coloured is the bat's line. any advise?

2 possible reasons, why a spline will not get extruded: it is either not closed at any point (go into spline sub-level, select it and you should see its status (open or closed)) or it is self-intersecting. look at the spline closely to find the selfintersecting point.
