Sheryl Swoopes seems like an out of touch critic, because how tf don’t you realize that in your own sport, most of the elite talent, come in, and become star players right away? WNBA players come in after 4 years of college, and are typically ready to transition to being all-star level. Caitlin Clark is one of the sharpest shooters I’ve ever seen, and that shooting should be the one thing that translates right away. I don’t even like comparing NBA to WNBA in regards to talent, because the pool is so much wider, but elite WNBA talent usually can boost a team a lot faster than NBA. Hypothetically, any team that takes Caitlin, will be on the rise very quickly, while San Antonio is going to be a few years before we see Wemby start to breakthrough the top teams in the west.

She’s right though 🤷🏻‍♀️ Swoops is no hater. It’s her opinion and many vets in the WNBA may share that opinion. Swoops is the GOAT. Caitlin still has a lot to prove in the WNBA. She’s a great shooter but in my opinion her passing and defense need more work. I’m going on the last few games she played. I also noticed that Caitlin when she get rattled, she doesn’t play as good or make smart decisions. That has to do with mental toughness. That comes with growth. Hopefully Caitlin will have that MAMBA mentality and work ethic to strive to be her best self as a player and teammate but people shouldn’t be ragging on Swoops who has already proven herself and was constantly complained to MJ.
