Right? As a kid, I always felt like there must be something "wrong" with me. God answers everyone else's prayers, but never bothered to talk to me! What gives?! Turns out that was a pretty big hint. The other hint was that somehow, many Christians believe that God's beliefs are exactly the same as their own. Hmm, that's kinda odd, isn't it? It's kinda scary to realize that millions of people are effectively worshiping themselves as God (I believe this to be right -> God must also believe that -> it must be right, and everyone else must believe it because God told me so). Somewhere in here there's a thesis relating American individualism to the "personalization" of Christianity, but I'm too tired to figure it out.

I grew up raised southern Baptist. I've luckily broken free from that stuff. but this church BNC (brand new church) was the best one I ever went to. the pastor was the most open minded Christian I ever seen. there were gay couples that went to that church but the community drove them out. and the pastor reprimanded the entire community for driving them out. anyways point I'm trying to get at, this guy preached no sex before marriage but didn't demonize anybody for premarital sex. and just outright said "fuck your wife/husband!" in terms of Christian sex. he outright just tells everyone to focus on your sexuality because ignoring it will just lead to a loveless marriage. obviously it's not all about sex. but he at least didn't beat around the bush. he didn't preach none of this "sex is only for procreation" bs. he didn't bring God into it because God has nothing to do with it lol. idk what these women are on. but something tells me they could use the 50% off one item coupon to Adam and eve a lot of KZbinrs get sponsored by.

As a christian I must say that people like this make this whole religious thing a joke to others. It makes life, to other believers (whatever religion), so much harder, because we seem like a wierdos who are cult-ish and so on and so on. Most religious people are normal and do not take such drastic and questionable meassures to ''advertise'' and spread something they believe to be good for others lives. That is not the case. While people like these girls are indeed scary, they are not what make the religion look like a joke. The shadow that looms over religion was not cast by the crazies, it was cast by the religion itself, and the every-day normal people that comprise it. (I know that to you, there is an obvious distinction between your belief system and the Girl Defined belief system. I'm not sure that's accurate. From the outside looking in, the distinction is much less obvious. Tbh, I would say "normal religious people" are closer in belief to Girl Defined than they are to any actual, secular, evidence-based ethics system. To put that another way: the average believers beliefs are not significantly less insane than GD. It all sounds roughly equal in stupidity. Do with that what you will!) P.S. a big part of Jesus's teachings were to go out and spread the good word of God. He explicitly stated that you SHOULD do what they're doing. I will tell you the base when I feel you are open to listen, but if you don't want to know anything more, or even the base, I accept it and I will not push my believes onto you. That would go against what Jesus wanted in the fist place, which is freedom. I don't have problem with spreading the word, I have problem with how the word is spread. I am not a native english speaker, so correct me if I understood your message in a different light. Christianity has different, lets say, groups within. Every group has different teaching - that means my point of view is different from the girls (thus your distinction). To people outside the christianity this might all seem like a one big mess, and they don't see the difference. Yes that would be correct. My point would be, that this spreading makes our religion look much more nuts than people already belive it is. Every religion is different, and yes, some religious people in past did extremely horrible things that casted a shade on the religion itself. I do not agree with how some religious things are handled. That doesn't mean I have problem with christianity itself. I like the idea of someone who loves me unconditionaly, who wants and can help, etc. In the end your belives and lifestyle are your to choose, no judgment should be made. I can tell you more, yes, but that doesn't mean I should force it onto you. This sexualising of God isn't something he intended, and if he did, I would like some evidence in the Bible. Otherwise this sound nuts even to me as a believer, which says a lot. Hopefuly I understood correctly, wish you a nice day.😁

I love how neither of them realize that the bible explicitly states, in no uncertain terms, that a woman is to be silent and that this law is said specifically by God himself. (1 Timothy 2.12). Yet that's literally the only function of their channel. So according to THEIR OWN RELIGION, they are not permitted to have a youtube channel at all, of any kind, period. That’s not what the verse is talking about? It’s not about being silent in general it’s about women being preachers or being in the clergy. The Bible states that women should not be teaching as a preacher in a church. If you read the Bible there’s multiple passages that explain this, what you are doing is taking it out of context. I understand if you are not a Christian and I respect that but please be mindful of those who are and please be respectful. And if you read the verses before 1 Tim 2:12 it refers back to what I just explained. So please do research and please be respectful thank you.

My English teacher is a Christian, he told us he has faith in God but not the Bible. God is an omniscient being, your connection and faith to whatever diety you believe in is yours alone, as long as you're trying to be the best person you can be that's all that matters in the end. The bible is simply a book written by his followers, we had written it and no person on earth can claim they speak on behalf of god. It's odd to apply the same undying unwavering faith you have with God onto men, since we all have out different biases, morals. Throughout time people have falsey preached terrifying ideas in the name of God to further their own desires and motives, people are capable of lying. Just try to be the best person you can be, trust yourself and God will guide you. Just don't enforce your interpretations and opinions onto others.

As a Christian who has grown up hearing similar things to why they are mentioning here, I understand the sentiment- they’re just meaning an “intimate” and close relationship with God in a spiritual sense, obviously not a physical sexual one like we have here. However, they are not explaining themselves well when they know so many people will watch who do not understand what they mean and it will come across really weird and creepy. They are definitely opening themselves up to a lot of criticism and mocking with the way they’re presenting this.
