I mentioned about the ending part in the last episode and couldn't wait for Alexis's reaction for Goku and Vegeta powering up to SSJ2 and Vegeta's comment about being stronger than Gohan. Just remember that both Vegeta and Goku have been training for 7 years.

Please understand that Vegeta already achieved SSJ 2 prior to the Majin power up. He trained 7 years straight. It’s only natural that he would’ve reached SSJ 2. The Majin boost brought Vegeta’s power level to MATCH Goku’s SSJ 2 ceiling, not give him SSJ 2. There are a ton of people who continue to stand on that ignorant theory that Vegeta wasn’t a SSJ 2 already.

Exactly. Majin gave him a power boost but he had already reached ssj2. If you read the manga, vegeta alluded to it when Goku briefly turned ssj2 against Yakon.

“Is it slavery when you get what you want?!?” is such an unapologetic and unadulterated BAR in the most ironic of ways. Vegeta’s one-liners in this episode are CRAZY. Yet this serves as essential character development! Also, when Goku threatened Shin/Supreme Kai with a Ki Blast, remember that he can read thoughts, so this was Goku’s way of telling him what he felt was necessary without having to say it verbally. Which is why he stepped aside: his thoughts told him everything he had to hear. He wasn’t really going to attack him, he just needed to get Shin’s attention.

I honestly don’t think it was that good of a fight, especially for them both to be SSJ2. Plus Goku was sandbagging. Piccolo vs 17 was the best choreographed fight.

@@DavidJ1988 imo its still better than picolo vs 17. dont get me wrong thats a really good fight too. but at the end of the day its just my opinion. the stakes, the story behind the fight and many more factors simply make goku vs majin vegeta the superior fight. maybe "choreographed" might have been a too strong of a word to use now that i think coz it has a lot more than just good choreography.

Goku was training in other world and Vegeta was training non stop for 7 years. At the end of the Cell Saga l, Vegeta said he was no warrior and claimed he would never fight again because he thought he would never prove his strength against him since Goku died when Cell blew up but originally The Cell Saga was the last chapter but Fans wanted more.... So here we are.

Yes, they are both Super Saiyan 2. It's not just the electricity around them, Vegeta is the only one who doesn't look different in his 2nd form. So the electricity actually IS the only way to know. BUT< Look at Goku's bangs. In 1, they are more like they are normally, where they are low, angled down, and one even is over one of his eyes. In 2, his bangs flair out more, and he has less spikes in his bangs, and you can see most of his hairline. In 1 he has about 6 or 7 bangs, in 2 he has 4-5 thinner ones depending on the scene.

Besides the time he was Majin Vegeta here, I've never seen Vegeta use Super Saiyan 2 otherwise or maybe I just didn't notice. I think that Babidi's magic may have awoken it. It's possible he could have learned to do it in the last 7 years, but I feel like Vegeta is too wound up to do what Goku and Gohan did (stay as a Super Saiyan for days to make it more natural for him), so I don't think he ever managed to utilize Super Saiyan as a base to get to Super Saiyan 2 by normal means, but I think Babidi's power woke up the same rage that woke Gohan up. Goku on the other hand, his ki control is more calm and that's why he was able to utilize Super Saiyan as a base form and after seeing Gohan transform into a Super Saiyan while already in the Super Saiyan transformation being utilized as a base to achieve Super Saiyan 2, he took that knowledge with him to Other World and learned it that way OR, this is Goku's first time transforming into a Super Saiyan 2 as well, awoken because of Vegeta killing all of those innocent people. Either way, Goku is very in touch with his feelings and understands how his feelings and his ki play hand in hand, which was why he's able to control the Kaio-ken so well. That said, it makes sense to me that Goku can continue to transform into a Super Saiyan 2, whereas Vegeta, it would make sense that he can't do it anymore because he usually doesn't explode in rage like this and that seems to be the only way he can access it. I think Vegeta went his own way like he always does, if he can no longer utilize Super Saiyan 2 after this, he will continue to just keep refining his Super Saiyan form and making it stronger. Every time he gets stronger in base, his Super Saiyan form doubles that power, so if he gets stronger than Goku in base after this fight, then his Super Saiyan form will be a close enough to a challenge for Goku's Super Saiyan 2. I realize though now that y'all can't correct me on that one, at least, not in the comments on this video, because if there was a time after this that he used Super Saiyan 2, that would be a spoiler for Mike and Alexis.

Sabat did a great job on Vegeta's speech of pride. But Hirokawa was better imo. The "meaningless ha ?" thing was good but the "bakana koto datooooooooo ?" original hits in the guts. Now it's time for Son Goku vs. Vegeta rematch !
