Part 2 of the CAPE WRATH Trail, heading from Cona Glen northbound. In this stage, I get eaten alive by midges, head into Glenfinnan under the famous Viaduct, pop in at Corryhully Bothy and pitch my tent as the weather changes...
Such beautiful views passing these remote sections of the Scottish Highlands, even got to see some red deer on my travels.
Thank you so much everyone for your support and leaving such lovely comments :) Take care!

Don't want to get caught in a live firing range. Make a sign that says Midges are prohibited here. Ha Ha! You have a great sense of humor. Good choice on not camping near the river as most tents don't float well. And food is important :)) Enjoyed part 2 and looking forward to part 3. Great video. Looks like you are getting along pretty well. On the trails, if you can walk off to the sides a little bit to get off the rocks and gravel onto some softer ground it's easier on the feet. I know you can't always do that, but something to think about when you can. Stay safe and healthy.

It can be hard escaping the Scottish Midgie, especially on the west coast, ideal if you can move faster than them but hard when you need to be still. Great job on doing the CWT, stunning part of the country & the isolation of being in remote nature is so therapeutic 👍

I’m planning on doing the cwt, the bridge at glenfinnan isn’t on os paper maps but is on the OSMaps app, so when I was staying in glen Nevis in early October I took a trip to check the bridge out (as you say the detour is horrendous along that road), from the glenfinnan side the sign on the bridge said “closed for repair until October” by the Scottish forestry commission.

Great video again Becky, looks like a long boggy hike in those shoes. I was wondering if you got blisters with having wet feet all the time. If I get wet feet, blisters appear really quick. It was hot in September, I had a couple of days I reckon it hit 25 in the sun, like you I took too much, nut then I wasn't hiking the hole time. Look forward to the next one :-)

Thanks for the interesting video! Looking, I understood why a spoon of titanium with a long handle is needed. It is required that there is a sublimated food directly from the package. In our area rarely, who uses sublimated food. Only climbers during climbing. As a rule, we prepare rice, buckwheat and soups in the hike. Sometimes we use instant noodles. But in the cold day the soup is best. It does not cool so quickly outdoors.
