Hi Janet! We have a video that Nina created using stencils and Transfer Gel. The video doesn't use the Duo but you would use the Duo exactly the same way as the original gel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poS3c4V7rb-Nd8U

THANKS SO MUCH for this demo. I just got the glimmer 2 & haven’t gotten a clear result yet, my foil moves when l put the die cutting plates on top of it, l’ll be trying your hinge method today! I noticed she didn't use the timer function on the Glimmer hot foil machine. I'm surprised it foiled so well without it. Maybe it's not needed.

Hi Nance, it's Nina. I didn't use the timer on that run because I had let my machine and plate heat up for quite a while so I knew it was hot enough.

Yes, I've used it with my Big Shot and my Spellbinders Platinum Six. I have not used it in my Gemini Jr since I stopped using that machine after it ruined so many cutting plates. It would probably work in my Switch Plus, I just haven't tried it yet.

whoa! the glimmer machine, you leave it on the dock, and when the second lite comes on you place your metal, but you then hit the timer, which blinks until ready to leave the dock to put in embossing/cut machine, you skipped that! Also where do you find that last machine "go press foil" ? 4/3/24

You're right! She must have done that off camera. We no longer carry the Go Press and Foil Machine.

Susan, they all work the same way so get whatever your budget allows. I have the Coture Creations machine and it works in anything. The spellbinders one will too. Ps- do you love the Switch? I’m really wanting to get one.

Thank you!!! Question: I have the Glimmer and am a newbie to foiling, is there an order to which you put the green shim and clear shim on top? Or does it not matter? I was doing green shim over paper then clear shim on top but the green shim gets hot and I'm afraid of ruining it. Thanks!

I don’t think it matters, but if one is thicker than the other, I’d put the thicker one on top just for my own ease of mind 😂
