I had to listen to that part several times to get what you meant . I also think the pause in speech that happens before he claims to be babbling is for me evidence he knows what he is saying is a lie. He just goes with it as the rest of people who believe that lie because the implications of Jesus being the answer are too great for him and anyone who believes that lie to bear .

@@cameroneagle4370 I dont see where you see this white guilt. He’s a smart man, I don’t think he holds himself responsible for slavery or segregation. He knows them to be evil things, and he often uses them as compelling examples to assist him in his articulation of his argument. That doesn’t necessarily mean he has white guilt. It sounds like you’re thinking too much of politics and you need to focus more on Christ because political issues are of this world and mean little to nothing in the afterlife.

Strongly disagree with some of Cliffe's theology, especially when it comes to him acquiescing to naturalism (masquerading as science) with regards to the bible's clear cut account of supernatural creation in 6 literal days, supernatural creation of a literal Adam and Eve (not some ape-like or even bacterial ancestors) and a young earth based on geneologies that go back to Adam who created on the 6th literal day of creation (all but the first having overwhelming support by objective genetics and physical science). However, I do see him as indeed a commendable brother in Christ.

@@italianobrandini1196 Interesting. So John it is. Its a very interesting old text. Its actually the youngest of the gospels. Written well after mark/mathew/Luke. John likely has 3 or more authors. All anonymous. Now, the corruption. John is likely the most corrupt of all the gospels. The most famous parts of john, say as an example, the women in adultery stuff. That was all added much later by a christian scribe. So when you quote that, and try and use it as theology of some kind, you have to know that is a fabrication. Interpolation. Not in the original texts. This is fact. You then have to deal with the fact that its the only text that has the salvation stuff. But why doesn't the synoptics, which are earlier and closer to jesus not have the salvation stuff? Why is it only later on, when the authors of john got creative? In fact john depicts a different jesus than the synoptics? You should learn the history of your bible. Its amazing stuff. As a pop quiz, how many endings are there to Mark? And which one is now the one christians use? I'l leave you with this. My goal is to educate christians about their bible. Hope you learn that what you read in your bible is not really what was written, in many cases. Stay safe.

Time stamp 22:40 Cliff i love your heart and mind and your ability to go to settings like this and show the rationality of the bible as being more than just religious text but accurate historical manuscripts. So thankyou, now as to my time stamp, and this is just a personal feeling, it would have been a lot better to see how God defines slavery in deuteronomy rather than viewing the text as we modern day humans view slavery as chains and shackels. I think with a proper view of what God called slavery, it would have gone a long way towards showing this young man that pur culture has a warpes view of language and thus we have to study not just the words on the page but the context and grammar. If someone couldnt pay a debt, they became the slave of the person they owed money to until they had worked and payed their debt. This isnt going and taking people against their will and away from their homes. There is specific laws given for a slave owner who has a none Jewish slave, these were individuals who are again wither criminals, enemies of war, or indebted slaves who did not belong to the house of Israel. Sorry for the long text but i feel like this conversation was in desperate desperate need of defining slavery as God God viewd it, not as man of the 21st century view it

Of course yes! Actually if GOD doesn't care about us we have no freedom now! Always remember this that GOD doesn't want evil anymore we our own understanding if we know to ourselves that the thing are not good! And besides GOD gives us protections through 10 commandments! And because we have own understanding each and every one sometimes we chose the easy life to us! That no conflicts just live life according to the pattern of this world then it's alright for us and everything will be smoothie☺️ being believers of GOD 🙏❤️ are very much good! But some people think being christians are hindrance to our wanted in life! They dont know that being believers of CHRIST ✝️🙏 are wonderful life! In scripture says in John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. GOD want us abundant life only not evil! We can't find a verse in the bible that GOD want wickedness and HE always care from the creation until now❤️ in scripture says again in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. JESUS gave HIS Life to save us! HE will save us today and forever 🙏 does JESUS cares when HE give HIS life! Definitely YES so HE don't care evil of course yes it is☺️ I want to share this verse for us to know that GOD truly care about us in Galatians 6:7-9 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

I am grateful for your videos as a Christian because you are one of the very few who can actually answer the tough questions without just reciting scripture because they don't accept scripture so other logic is needed and that's what you give them. Thank you for what you do because I guarantee it results in less massacres and school shootings just causing them to wonder if thier life HAS meaning and there is HOPE beyond the grave and consequences for retailiating for potential disrespect from another student . Why freakin ask and continue to answer your own questions? They simply want someone to give them the answers they're already looking for and reject anything else. @@garyr7027 Yes, parents *will* ask their kids questions they know the answers to a lot of the time Gary, but that's to drum into them certain moral aspects of life... "why did you hit Timmy" .. they want them to comprehend why certain actions are not acceptable. With your 2nd example, when cops interrogate people they want as much info as they can get, they may know certain things, but the more they interrogate, the more pieces of the jigsaw they can put together. With regards to your initial point, isn't it a 2-way thing, sure, I'm sure that the students have pre set ideas and notions about questions regarding Christianity, but that also very much applies to Cliffe's questions to them... he knows full well his own pre set answers to his questions, he's a clever guy. In virtually every video, he will ask the students pre-set questions to which he has a very pre-set answer. It's very rare that people will change their view on the spot. It requires a lot of thought and inner questioning to actually change your view. , that can take years.

The first individual has committed a textbook reification fallacy. Suppose we asked, “Why is it that we are well-suited to our environment?” If he answers “natural selection,” this would be the fallacy of reification. It poetically obscures the true reason that we are designed to survive. When he pretends that nature selected us to have thumbs, he is simply giving an abstraction a mind. We all agree that the organisms that are well-suited to an environment are more likely to survive than those that are not. This is tautologically true and we all agree here. He's just trying to be clever, by using fallacies to try and give nature the mind instead and he doesn't even know it.

Cliffe is fantastic, a very lovable, well-mannered, sincere Christian. Also Cliffe's arguments are sound, robust and nearly invincible; yet, in my modest opinion, the guy from the 7 minute to the 19 minutes in the video totally destroyed his position. It's rare and probably Cliffe does not care if he loses a battle here and there, or perhaps he didn't notice but that was and is the worse position a Christian could hold. It's really unnerving that many other clever Christians like Cliffe still maintain that shaky position in regard to the Bible. Cliffe pleeease, revisit that position of yours because you are going to lose many of your hard-earned rewards in heaven by stamping down that mercilessly on the Holy Book. It's quite a cringing situation, if you ask me. Well done to that intelligent student for exposing Cliffe's position in regard to the Holy Text! I mentioned it before in some other comment sections and either Cliffe missed it or he was badly led astray in seminary; it is now so ingrained in his thinking he doesn't even realize it. I'm sorry Cliffe but ... no inspired Bible, no foundation to stand on. For all the rest, as always, Cliffe is quite spot on his brilliant argumentations.

@@whatisitthesedays I watched a few of Matt's debates and he is a bit on the extreme side of atheism for my liking. Basically, he says that no evidence would convince him that the God of the Bible exist but I could be wrong. That's why I avoid watching his debates. I think Cliffe does a pretty good job even on slavery but he is not a theologian, he is more like of a philosopher. Just when he bashes the Bible, that's the stupidest thing I've heard from many a Christians. If you haven't noticed I am a Christian who hold to a opposite view. I believe the Bible to be the perfect, inspired, preserved word of God. I can't let Cliffe walk all over it even if I like him as a person and must love him as a brother in Christ. For that same reason, if you are not a Christian, the fact that "slavery", or better, servitude was regulated by the God of the Bible, or you don't understand all of the details, or you can grasp the subtleties in that particular cultural setting, or the progression of the people of God out of slavery, or the differences from the real slavery and so on, it doesn't make the claim that God exist null and void. God chastises people in many ways. If He is perfectly just and loving, He couldn't do it any other way: He had to punish people before they lost their salvation to go to heaven. Then when Jesus arrived on the scene, He placated and "re-directed" His indignation towards sin to the next step to whosoever believes in the sacrifice of His Son on the cross rather than in the Law.

Days later my sister offered me a slice of melon saying it is soul food. After taking the melon I felt spiritually mentally and emotionally dead or numb and do not know what to do about this. I heard voices from people saying I am going to hell because I took a slice of melon and that I sold my soul to a guy online, which I didn't. How can I feel the joy, love and peace from Jesus again or has he given up on me and is it too late for me? Am I going to hell regardless how I live my life anyway because I took a slice of melon my sister said was soul food? How do I make things up to Jesus? If god always acts in accordance with his nature (whatever that means), then he still must have more than one viable option that does not contradict his nature if he is to ''claim free will.'' Otherwise, he is a slave to his nature, like a robot, and not a free personal agent. What would the word "option" mean to a being who created all options? Some say that "free will" with god does not mean what it means with humans. But how are we to understand this? What conditions of free will would a christian scrap in order to craft a "free agency" for god? Multiple options? Desire? Freedom? Power? Potential to avoid? Perhaps desire could be jettisoned. Desire implies a lack, and a perfect being should lack nothing. But it would be a very strange "person" with no needs or desires. Desire is what prompts a choice in the first place. It also contributes to assessing whether the decision was reasonable. Without desire, choices are willy-nilly, and not true decisions at all. Besides, ''the biblical god expressed many desires.'' Basically this supposed god is RELYING on his ''faulty creations'' (the fall of adam & eve) to go around and CONVINCE each other that he exists, that's preposterous.!!! No objection saves the christian god, he does not exist. Perhaps a more modest deity can be imagined: one that is not both personal and all-knowing, both all-knowing and all-powerful, both perfect and free. But until a god is defined coherently, and then proven to exist with evidence and sound reasoning, it is sensible not to think that such a being exists. This guy is JUST expressing his own personal views and opinions, having said that, it DOES NOT mean he is right, at the END OF THE DAY, it's only his OPINIONS.!!! Maybe these STUDENTS should ask this question>>>> Let's start from the adam & eve story, if that can't be PROVEN beyond reasonable doubt with ''CREDIBLE'' evidence, barring anything that the bible CLAIMS and faith based, if one CANNOT get past there, the rewst of the story is rendered USELESS...... How ''convenient ''god is OUTSIDE SPACE and TIME'' well he should give proof that this supposed god is ''outside of space and time, do i think he can do that, not a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When he said god is not the cause of all the evil in this world, a swoop of kids just got up and left. What do you make of that ? I say they agree with the speaker, even if they openly and demonstratively expressed their disagreement, they must have been aware of their own false position, otherwise why would they do that. Choose your friends , even your company and your crowd wisely. I would not like to be a part of that crowd.

I dont understand young people. they always heard or have been told but never checked if the bible is corrupt and they always claim the gospels were written several hundred years after Jesus died. Havent they ever heard of the dead sea scrolles, written at the time of the crusifiction and proves that the bible is NOT corrupt. most that is wrong is spelling of names and places and some words are changed to up to date language but it doesnt change the meaning of the text. also not one single person can ever say WHAT or WHERE in the texts that is corrupt.

In the book of Jasher which is a summary of Genesis, the same scenario with the Sons of Elohim and Job happens with Abraham and Issac. Ishmael taunts Issac and Issac is the one that says, "If the Lord required my life I would offer it up) Issac was a willing sacrifice not blind. A type of Christ. Check this out. Then he used this as a set up for the error of Marcion!!!!! Until the time that the word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. Psalms 105:19

One thing that's common in all these videos-- these atheist kids have spent a ton of time pondering their disbelief, they are not short on their reasons not to believe

"nature determines" means selection pressures favor certain adaptations. Those pressures may change over time and organisms speciate as more favorable traits get passed to offspring. So cliffe points to man made thing and says "look how man made these man made things are. Boom! Nature must be made by a man-looking deity thing"

The first kid, obviously what he's saying about "chance" of surviving (natural selection), he learned it from a book, a teacher, or a professor. Did he even challenge them about the idea?

God gave us Agency, to choose .. He has given correct principles/ morality, we must learn to Govern ourselves! No one will be forced to follow Christ , who is the mediator with the Father. He allows bad things to happen to teach us to or compel those who can be compelled to humble themselves and admit they need His help.. many though harden their hearts to Him and become passed feeling.. and the.personal PRIDE of thinking we know best or I must make those who do me wrong be punished .. is our typical reaction, most often . Hence bad begets bad making the whole of people blind to doing what is right. That is not Gods fault,, it’s ours!! He gives us our FULL AGENCY, to our FULL Condemnation.. sounds bad right ? Well , we walk around exercising our form of Justice on each other.. And we think We are justified.. when the only Being Justified to pass judgement is God.. This doesn’t mean we don’t discern between good and evil , for we must .. learn to discern but to then Act with a merciful disposition.. Hence Christ said “Suffer it patiently “ .. Do good to them that Hate you! Pray for them that despitefully use you are persecute you.. Those with the greater knowledge of Christ must use governance while our fellow brothers and sisters learn or choose not to learn wisdom.. .
