I’m 60 years old, and ABBA were my group when I was at school. I had exactly the same reaction, tears of joy to hear them sing again. Two days on I still tear up when I play this song. It’s unmistakably ABBA, and who would have thought they would give us new songs after all these years. It’s fine to cry, music creates such strong emotions - thank you for sharing on camera exactly what so many of us are feeling right now ❤️

So much has been runnning through my mind these last few days... I can't even manage to know what I want to say or express. I've been listening to this one specially continuously... even on my mind (when I can't play it). I didn't know what to expect. I was a youngster when they split and it's been almost forty years, but suddenly when the song started playing, it was like those forty years disappeared. I felt so at home and at the right time... I felt like "One of Us" was just a week ago... I was shocked and pleased and happy and sad and everything at the same time. Abba was back Really? Had they been away? So it's been a rollercoaster of feeling... and so much crying. Memories of loved ones and sheer enjoyment. My brother who was also a fan died early this year (COVID related) and I know he would have loved this so much... I'm crying now again. So sad he didn't manage to see this... So It's been really, really, really hard for me this "voyage" back and forth in time. They're absolutely awesome... And this song is what I was exactly hoping for... The voice of Agnetta is just incredible, Frida is also incredible... I don't know. My mind is just overwhelmed with thoughts and feelings and happiness.

My dad instantly fell in love with ABBA and the gorgeous Swedish Agnetha and Frida. I have a theory. We are now living in sensory overload brought about by the internet and digital tech. Everything is complicated and intense. ABBA’s music let’s the brain decompress and return to simple ideas and notions that are linear and digestible without choking. It lets us go on a journey without the drama and multiplicity. For anyone who is battered by short attention spans and 1 minute immediacies, this is a vacation.

So many times when bands get back together, they're a shadow of who they were at their peak and it's really more about nostalgia than whether or not they still have it. ABBA is *NOT* one of those bands. This album is ABBA, 100% as good as they were 40 years ago. It's bittersweet because it's great to have new music but it also means we've lost 40 years of music that could have been. ABBA is the single greatest band of all time.

What a joy to see your emotional reaction. I have listened to this song non-stop since Thursday morning and I have not been able to get through it without dancing around my living room smiling, laughing, crying and in disbelief that I am actually hearing the band who I first heard in 1974 (Waterloo) as a ten year old kid and the next year, 1975, is when my ABBA “voyage” began when I first heard S.O.S. I’ve been under the spell ever since and it’s a powerful force. So, I completely felt your mix of disbelief, shock, breaking into tears as a result of the overwhelming joy brought on by Agnetha’s beautiful vocals and Frida’s harmonies and Benny’s instrumentation arrangements. The classic Benny piano, the very distinct bass, the beat which is impossible to not dance to, and for me personally, the strings! The strings elicit such a strong emotion for me that when the song closes with the beautiful final line from Agnetha and then fades out, I usually find myself just staring into space, stunned and in disbelief. So then I end up listening to it again because, you know, I have to make sure I didn’t dream it up 🤣

The arrangement of their songs are so authentic with minimal digitization; that's why the emotions elicited particularly by the strings is so strong.

This made me ultra-weepy and ebullient at the same time. A perfect song. ABBA meant so much to me during my teen years - this felt like reuniting with a long-lost friend. What a lovely gift.

i have been an abba fan all of my life ! - i must have Every single record they released in various languages - i have also records release by Annifreid and Agnetha in swedish and English - so when they reformed it was like all my christmases and birthday came all at once ! - i Knew Agnetha still had an amazing voice and was amazed Annifreid still had the same voice also ! i was genuinely shocked and in total awe that even after nearly 40 years they were still flawless and it was as if time had stood still - i was devasted when they announced they were splitting and would not record again , but some how i knew they would reform - i still had faith that they would at some point regroup, and now that magic day has arrived just as i knew they would, and boy oh boy how we need them ! - welcolme back ABBA ! - you have made a 54 year old man soooooooo happy xxx

I was so happy whenever I heard their songs, all troubles and worries in the world seemed to fade. It was magical! Now they are back!!! Needed this so much for this world right now - pure happiness, joy, hope and faith! Thank you for the music ABBA!! Can't wait to go to their concert!!!!

Agnetha is the youngest one of them and she's 71. Well, everyone who bought her last album "A" like 6 years ago knew, she still had a wonderful voice. It surely has aged, but we all have. It still has the power it used to have and that's all that counts.

You should know I cried like crazy when I heard these two new songs yesterday. I'm somewhat older than you and they were the soundtrack to my life their first time around. The tears flowed as I experienced a splendid combination of nostalgia, joy, and sadness even as I watch our world come apart at the seams. There's always been such an exuberance to their music and their masterful harmonies have buoyed me through many difficult times. And all that magic is still there. I get your point about them making you feel happy and sad at the same time. I've often told people that they are the only band that can make me smile and feel happy even when they sing the saddest songs.

I had the same reaction as you. Exactly. Never did imagine this day. Also, so relieved they are not trying to be relevant with today’s electronic voice-enhancing, auto tuning like so many artists are. Not just the aging stars… every song released today is so digitized and fake it’s junk. This was and is a dream come true for all of us older abba fans as well as millions of younger fans! Just brought me to tears. Both songs are just what I hoped they would be. It’s given me what I’ve wanted for forty years…. And I couldn’t be more happy. I enjoyed your video - reminded of me when I first heard the songs.
