Something about the looks of the Walther that’s just awesome. Glad to see that Glock finally made a 22 and one that feeds reliably unlike the conversion kits. Throw an optic on the top and you have a great target pistol.

My PPQ 22 SD/TAC came with two mags. One was a 10rd and one was a 12rd. They miss ordered and ordered the 10rd for me. But it was ok because it had a 12rd in the case when I got it; the 10rd was in the gun. The bonus of the SD/Tac is the threaded barrel for later.... "activities."

I had the PPQ 22 to go along with my 9mm version. I traded it after less then a year. I read that the problem I was having with the PPQ 22 was known and not fixed at the factory level. The roll pin in the slide kept backing out. I liked the gun but no excuse putting out a product that is not correct. I still have my 9 mm, no problem ever. I fired my Glock 44 yesterday and had a recurring issue. I shot over 700 rounds with a few different types of ammo. The issue had nothing to do with the firearm or ammo. While loading the magazine the rounds would nose down increasingly as I neared full capacity, 10 rounds. This would then stop the slide from going forward when attempting to chamber the first round. As long as I fidgeted with the rounds before loading it would work fine. Suggestions?

Look Glock has been around for so long and is a proven platform but it's nothing special and other gun manufacturers are pumping out like quality products for cheaper and in time will be just as proven and will probably run glock out of business and they'll be the Colt 2.0

I have the S&W M&P 22 made by Walther and it is very similiar to the Walther PPQ 22. It is ambi including the slide lock and external safety. It is a great training pistol. For the Glock 19 I just have the Advantage Arms conversion kit. It is pretty reliable except with the hyper velocity brands and the Winchester White Box. The S&W eats everything. They're great training pistols. You can introduce a new shooter to them and shoot bulk ammo on the cheap. Once a new shooter has become acclimated to either of those pistols they can move up to shooting any variety of 9mm I have or anyone else at the range has. I'm sure the Glock 44 AND PPQ 22 are great guns as well.

Love how easily my TX22'S SLIDE disassembles! You simply remove the end cap, and the entire striker assembly comes right out, then falls apart (housing is in 2 halves). You can further, remove the steel breach block, after tapping out the tension retaining pin, and, using a dowel rod, drive it forward and lift out, through a cut out. Engineers really thought this through!

the 44 had too many misfires for my taste. I think the tougher slide has something to do with it. Its a great 22lr but its out performed by my SR22, PPQ, P22 and TX22 which all have few misfires/stove pipes.

I'm sorry Sootch but shooting a .22 pistol with the same dimensions and manual of arms as a 9mm pistol is not good for training. 9mm and .22 a far too different of caliber for any training with a .22 to be of any use. I mean I get what you're saying but, just go buy a 9mm and train with it. These guns are awesome and would be perfect for a kid or someone who isn't familiar with firearms, but only as a .22 pistol. It's like saying driving Mini Cooper is great training for driving an 18 wheeler.

Does the Glock come with a threaded barrel? Would have liked more on the accuracy.

If the 19 and 44 have the same size mags and the 19 holds 15rds of 9, then why can they only squeeze 10rds of 22 in the 44? Gock needs to follow Taurus because they are definitely leading the way!

22's dont stack well. glock wanted perfect reliability and found 10 rounds to be the count they were comfortable with. Im sure you will see 15+ aftermarket mags.

I have the PPQ .22 and it is fantastic and feeds any ammo I have put through it so far. I have always wished it had a plate option. If Glock adds a plate option, I'm in... A long slide version would also be real sweet.

Thanks Brother! The PPQ 22 is a great gun for sure.

I own a ppq sc 9mm and a glock 23 Gen 4 and enjoy shooting both not to much difference on the recoil. Either one is good for me.
