My God. The fact that this kind of discussion even needs to be had shows the insanity our society has fallen down to. A Mother is a MOTHER.. she can be the driver, she can coach the baseball team… she’s STILL the mother and the same does to dads… how hard is it to understand really?

@taluhl6337 100% agree. What will become of all humanity and this world when there are people with such a mindset. I get the impression that many people are becoming more and more absorbed and shaped by what they hear and read in the media. People eventually forget to use their own heads and think for themselves.

The term "mother" traditionally refers to a female parent, but in today's world, families come in all shapes and forms. Some transgender men who have given birth might identify as mothers. It ultimately depends on how individuals define their roles within their families.

On a primal level, nurturing goes deeper for mothers with their young; it's a part of her biological wiring. This is the case in almost every species of female in every part of nature. It doesn't mean fathers can't nurture too, but they will never be mothers just like mothers will never be fathers. You don't need any certificate, degree, or class in formal education to understand this; just look around you and it's blatantly factual.

Yeah, I believe they were a bit forceful with their opinions but that's OK. What matters is respecting the other person. Why not just talk about being a good parent, cause it's parenting that your child needs and not discussing wether you are a father or a mother. The capability to nurture and care for a child isn't "to mother". Father's are able to do this without calling themselves a mother. What Bullshit is society discussing about? Haven't we got enough problems in this world? Go home and love your child as best as you possibly can and stop labeling yourself with gender identities. Your child doesn't care.
@skaania

actually it is. Culrutrally to nurture and care for, to bring up with affection is literally the definition of the verb "to mother"
@itsbmeGaming

By this logic, I am a plumber because I did something a plumber could do like fix a leak under my sink. My problem with this "inclusiveness" is that it makes people feel entitled to things. It'd be like growing up taking karate and someone else that didn't qualify for the next belt up feels like they're entitled to the same belt color because they're left out somehow not being the same higher rank. There is nothing wrong with a single father not being called a "mother". The love they have for their kids doing the best he can is what really matters, not getting some title. A man acting in absence of a mother but not being called a mother doesn't take away from the good he's doing. Needing a title for affirmation is ridiculous. The quality of your parenting and the effort you put into being a parent is not somehow diminished just because you're not called a mother or father. I have a step-daughter, so I am the step-father. So does me not being the biological parent mean that my love for my beautiful daughter is not of the same caliber as a biological parent and I am less of a parent because I am not by definition a "father"? No. That's silly. This isn't fairness; it's entitlement.

you are contradicitng yourself here. SIngle parents have to and try to provide their kids with things normally provided by bother paretns HENCE they play the role of both. It does not change their gender, does not make them literal mothers or fathers. It, however, allows them to mother and father their kids at the same time. If a granmother raises her grandkid she also mothers that kid although she is not the mother, doesn't she?
@thoriq_aulia
@thoriq_aulia Жыл бұрын
@@skaania there is no contradiction there, it says "try their best" doesnt mean you switch your role. A civilian can shoot a gun, but it doesn't make him soldier. Yes single parent will try to fill the other parent role, but they will never be perfect and never switch their role. Even a grandmother cannot be father when raising their grandkid, grandmother can only be mother

@@skaania Arguing the semantics of a verb is done for the reason of changing the meaning of the noun. No one is having it anymore. A male cannot mother a child because he is not a mother. Only females can mother. if a male mothers, he is actually fathering.
