Good video 👍 Would have been nice to include the HI-TOE just to show the subtle similarities and differences.

Excellent review. Not better or worse club but which one suit your game the most. Thanks

I’m playing glide 2.0 wedges right now, but those 3.0s got me thinking about switching. They’re ridiculously that good IMO.

This apple rolls well but this orange rolls great, think I prefer the colour of the apple but the orange feels much softer 😋

I have the 54/58 in PM19 and I'm not crazy about the 58. But I chip with the 54 and I've never chipped better in 15 years of golfing. I've always played midsized grips on my wedges which I changed on the 54 and now I'm thinking of going standard on all of them.

I’m more of a digger on my short irons especially my wedges. Are you saying the sole of the i wedge is better for me ?

Yea the bounce is to help it against the ground

I think you need to take into account that different swings with different wedges will produce different results. In other words, it was obvious that the Callaway fit your swing better and it was in your head. For someone else, with a steeper swing, the Ping Eye2 grind will work better.I played the Stealth in the Eye2 and was happy with it. I agree with you in that I might have someone grind the trailing edge slightly on the Ping - I don't care about the finish on the sole.I play the Mizuno T-20 wedges now and enjoy them but I am meh on the 54 M Grind but like the 58 C grind. I could never grow accustomed to the look of the PM Grind - bought one, and sent it back. Good luck.

I love my Ping stealth wedges - softer feel and confidence inspiring.

How can you "compare" anything if they are not the same? You're just hitting two different wedges.

Talking about grooves out of the sand for spin?

I have some old clubs with radial soles, is the C grind similar? 👍 ☺

missing a lot to the right with the open face- might want to mention lowering the hands to get the face back on line to swing path?

I like the feel of the Glide wedges and don't like the look of the Callaway wedges, so... I do wish, though, that Ping had kept the ES model in the regular Glide shape and not replaced it with the odd-shaped Eye2.

its pretty obvious he's a bit biased towards the callaway

Interesting video, but why anyone swing a full 60 wedge?
@swisstrader4 жыл бұрын
Bob Kuralowicz I do. Swing full 60 degree to my 60-65 yard shots. As most people do.
@davidharris25174 жыл бұрын
@@swisstrader unless you're hitting to a really tight flag you're probably going to be more consistent hitting a sand or gap wedge for those kind of shots, but you will need to practice them, so it's likely to be worse until you get a feel.for the distance control
@swisstrader4 жыл бұрын
David Harris not so much for me. I’m deadly accurate w my 60 degree to about 60-65 yards. Easiest shot in the bag for me. Tougher for me is chipping!

Pretty obvious they will perform differently on certain shots when they are different lofts and bounce. Completely pointless review.
@nathanschneider2215 жыл бұрын
Why would you do a review with two totally different clubs??????
@EannMcCullough Жыл бұрын
Hmm. Maybe Open the ping a tad and don’t hit the sand fat, then compare ? I mean, one crisp bunker shot, one fat. And then you use those to judge the club ? Really ?
@bbslimecity42445 жыл бұрын
Respectfully, I must disagree with your assessment of spin, holding all else equal, a more lofted club will ALWAYS spin more than a less lofted club.
@lucaslonghurst5 жыл бұрын
Not true, think about what would happen if you used a 100 degree wedge with a robot. It just can't compress the ball as much as say a 56 or 60 and thus can't put as much spin on the ball. Obviously, a wedge will spin more than a 3 iron but at a certain point, spin will drop off and begin to diminish due to a lack of friction.
@robertjames78125 жыл бұрын
Moving up in loft, it will get to a point where you lose some spin due to less force applied to the ball at impact. This will result in less spin.

High-toe wedges look DIS-GUSTING and I just couldn’t ever have one, no matter how good they are. Yuck! 🤮
