This was an awesome tribute man. I have a cat named Chance that looks like Oliver, and he is my best friend, and I absolutely agree with you they rescue us. He was such an affectionate little man and when he first met you he said “Whee is love?”, after you adopted him and you put dry cat food in your pockets he would have said “you’ve gotta pick a pocket or two” and he would go to his dish and say “food glorious food”, no wonder there is a musical about him. Animals are so faithful,I have had nearly every animal going as a pet and adored every single one .my beautiful loving Labradors who lived long lives,all my cats I took in over the years, and have just taken in another stray cat who arrived as my beautiful gentle loving old stray cat was passing away,I’m weeping as I type this with my new stray on my bed,they never take the place of one who has just passed away ,but it sure helps to give your love to another,I have rabbits,birds,and fish.Nothing makes me happier than having my animals around me all day.
