There were frozen provolone cheese clumps all over it. I politely asked our server if we could get them reheated. The dude came over from out of nowhere and grabbed the pizzas and dumped them in the trash next to the hostess stand and told us to get out. Geno is the sweetest dude in the world but he was seething and would have snapped that dude’s neck, so I got him out of there. And I am proud to say I was one of their very first Yelp reviews. It's more likely the way they were cooked. A lot of restaurants use frozen food, but they thaw the product overnight, then cook them with techniques, spices, and a dash of caring to it. In hindsight, what Gordon usually looks for is not professional handmade raviolis, rather restaurants with decent knowledge of basic cookings and how to treat everyone equally right.

@@peternguyen2647 If they prepared frozen ravioli with care at worst he'd likely recommend they take the extra time to handmake them if possible, but I think you're right that it's the attitude about the frozen ravioli (or whatever) that sets him off in KN episodes.

We used frozen pastries, baked straight from the freezers, still came out good enough and customers bought it without a single doubt (the best compliment was that a lady bought 20 top of the morning saying that it was for her daughter's family as well) And yes, in restaurants' environment, your customers are the ones who pay for service, so they always expected to be treated, at the very least, as human beings. It's common knowledge that most American reality shows are partially scripted and heavily edited out of context, including parts of the newer American kitchen nightmares. However when this episode aired it's scary how you could tell these two were authentic and actually behaved like this in real life. Producers probably knew they stumbled upon a goldmine and didn't have to lift a finger.
@royliber3824 Жыл бұрын
I agree with what you're saying here. I've seen quite a lot of American shows that try to push a lot of "drama" from something so small that barely makes any sense. But these two genuinely act like psychopaths. Samy is afraid to tell her wife what people think, and she thinks everyone are out there to get her. The fact Samy didn't give the tips to his waitress and told that one employee to watch his car truly disgusts me. I've met true people like this, and if people can't accept the help which sometimes seems wrong to them then they shouldn't ask it in the first place.

I was a sever for many years and tbh I never expected a tip because I work in Canada so I make minimum wage, but that being said when a table would leave me a generous tip (or they all just said thank you and smiled at me) it made me feel like I was doing my job right. I remember a particularly busy night it was me and 1 other girl manning the whole front had 8 tables each mostly 4 tops. I was running around like a crazy person and I couldn’t really give full attention to any table i basically just tried to get the food out asap, but this one table left me a 25% and on the way out they just thanked me and said I was doing a great job even tho it was so busy. The US has a tipping culture for servers and delivery drivers. The fact that most customers are willing and ready to give tips in a restaurant like this in the states and would fully expect those tips to go to the servers that took care of them, the owner just taking them is a big no no here. People would be irate to find that out. Not to mention the oweners excuse was that she wasn't doing a good enough job to deserve her tips but .... thats who the customers are leaving it for, he doesn't get to make a judgement call on that.... if her tables thought she should get a tip thats the customers choice not his to make after the fact. The contract also stated that if they quit or got fired, that they couldn't work at another restaurant within a fifty mile radius for over a year. As if they weren't already delusional, what authority do they have to extort their employees, or have any control over them even after they've left? @PewDiePiegift.....Touch grass Plants from the grass family can grow in many places and make grasslands, even if they are very cold or very dry. Several other plants that look similar but are not members of the grass family are also sometimes called grass; these include rushes, reeds, papyrus, and water chestnut. Seagrass is a monocot in the order Alismatales. Grasses are an important food for many animals, like deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars, and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows.[2] This is a part of why they are successful. Without grass, earth may wash away into rivers (erosion). Evolution of grass[change | change source] Graminoids include some of the most versatile plant life-forms. They became widespread toward the end of the Cretaceous. Fossilized dinosaur dung (coprolites) have been found containing grass phytoliths (silica stones inside grass leaves).[3] Grasses have adapted to conditions in lush rain forests, dry deserts, cold mountains and even intertidal habitats, and are now the most widespread plant type. Grass is a valuable source of food and energy for many animals.[4] Grass and people[change | change source] Lawn grass is often planted on sports fields and in the area around a building. Sometimes chemicals and water is used to help lawns to grow. People have used grasses for a long time. People eat parts of grasses. Corn, wheat, barley, oats, rice and millet are cereals, common grains whose seeds are used for food and to make alcohol such as beer. Sugar comes from sugar cane, which is also a plant in the grass family. People have grown grasses as food for farm animals for about 4,000 years. People use bamboo to build houses, fences, furniture and other things. Grass plants can also be used as fuel, to cover roofs, and to weave baskets. Language[change | change source] In English, the word "grass" appears in several phrases. For example: "The grass is always greener on the other side" means "people are never happy with what they have and want something else." "Don't let the grass grow under your feet" means "Do something". "A snake in the grass" is about a person that will not be honest and will trick others. All flesh is grass: Old Testament book of Isaiah, chapter 40, verses 6-8. Grass is a slang term for cannabis (pot, weed, or marijuana).
