GOT A BAD POWER STEERING HIGH PRESSURE HOSE/LINE? REPLACE IT AHEAD OF TIME

1990 Toyota pickup, 3.0 V6, 2 wd. We replaced the pump and gearbox and cleaned resevoir thoroughly. No leaks or seeping in system found. 1100+ psi at pump output. Still no power steering. Opinion?

Hi I own a 1998 Acura Integra GSR coupe 2 door And I know how to take off the high pressure hose where the two bolts are at but I don’t know how to disconnect it from the other side where it connects to the bottom of the engine can you show me how and I tried to buy it at the Acura dealership but they said it’s is discontinued does anybody know where else I can buy it at brand new thanks 🙏🏻

I'm researching replacing the low pressure line myself. From what I gather it's possible to custom fabricate one from cunifer. Perhaps something similar is also possible with the high pressure line?

My Honda van was making a loud noise when I turned my steering wheel. I took it in for repair they said it was the power steering pump and replaced it. Now 2 weeks later it's making the same noise and the same shop now says it my power steering pressure hose which can make the same noise as the power steering pump. Was this a mis-diagnose or can it possibly be both the power steering pump and the power steering pressure hose going out at the same time?

How to atleast temporarily patch the rubber hose on the high pressure power steering line? My 05 envoy has a power steering leak on the rubber section of the high pressure line and i cant afford to change it. I considered getting used from lkq which had a 90day warranty but i quickly found i wasnt able to remove all the brackets holding it. I seriously need a way to atleast patch this line til i can earn money to pay for my mechanic to replace it. Im between jobs and use my envoy for currier gigs which dont pay much but for now its atleast paying my bills.

hi there i am curious .. i am trying to figure out what mighr be the problem on my truck . i have an avalamche 2002 i am able to turn to the left no struggle but to the right i have to use all my force.. i assumed that power steering pump is fine since it turns good to the left .. so maybe a line? rack and pinion? i check the power steering fluid and ita good .. any advixe or help would be apprecieted 🙏🙏

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue we got the high pressure line off barely but now we literally cannot figure out how to get the new one on without bending it or breaking it I have not been able to find any manual or guide or anything it's been super stressful my hose is a lot bigger and different than that one

You can’t use clamps on high pressure side….it need to be factory crimped… the hose clamps slide off. Under pressure’s between 800-1500psi

If it’s the low pressure hose it shouldn’t come off if the hose clamp is tight

It will ruin your power steering system. Example: Rack and pinion, power steering pump will burn out. Engine and transmission will be fine.

check the fluid level maybe there is air in the system , that noise is coming from the steering pully ( pump ) from the air bubbles inside .

​@@user-Thomson1311from what I understand you have to fix the leak and then refill, flush (remove the old fluid), and then bleed the system (to remove any air).

Bad hose would make you lose fluid and then your pump would whine or groan. Check to make sure you have fluid first then look under the car for leaks

@@Anonymous-to6fn very nice I just repaired a return line yesterday with pin hole leak. Hose was bent from previous owner off roading. Rubbed a hole through eventually and no more power steering! Bought it for $100. Hopefully sell for 2000 or so
