Even my brother who never played chess in his life, never watched a single game and doesn't even know any professional chess player said to me at the time "Did you see the news? A guy called Hans Niemann got caught cheating in the most embarrassing way I've ever seen in any game or sport ever! It's all over the news." My friends who don't play chess know about it. Almost everybody knows about it and most of these people don't know that it never happened because they've only seen that and didn't follow up on it. If you think that didn't wreck his public image, I don't know what else to say to you. I don't care for Hans attitude either, but "if Hans acted like Hikaru he would be hyper loved"? Really? Hikaru is a smug and malicious person. The thing he loves the most is putting other people down for fun. I would never use him as an example of a likeable person. He's just not. Yep. The tides were definitely turning on Hans due to gameplay - but this makes him look like an absolute tool. No wonder he gets banned, kicked out and removed from everything. Who would want to be near this man child?

I agree with the first part. Levy reported completely unbiased, saying " He either cheated or he didn't. One of this is true. I don't know which but either way thus is great content " That hans leashes out towards levy does not show if he cheated. It just shows that he thinks everybody who is not 100% on his side is against him.
