Back in the day (early 1990's) one of my boy's gave me my writing name. To this day I still have to deal with new kids trying to rock my name. Till I saw your video I didn't really know why. I have been on tons of freights up and down the west coast, have been in a couple of graffiti magazines (remember those), and have been active dropping burners and doing productions with my crew all these years. If you google my writing name most of the clean funk styles are mine. After seeing your video, I somewhat get it. I'm old school and don't really like putting up my own stuff on the internet. Anything you find that's mine has been put up by others (it's like .5% of what I have done over the years). And maybe that's the problem. Back when I first started, having flix (pictures) of your stuff was a sure fire way of getting caught for everything you did. I didn't catch on to placing thing anonymously on the web as it was new at the time. There was always roomers by other writers that police run internet searches with local graffiti names to try and match your style to build cases (hay, it was the early 2000's). Like most old school writers of my generation we keep to our tight nit crews.

I have a great tip for people who can’t choose their name: you just have to Write down the alphabet in tag form and then circle the letters you like. Make a word with some of those letters and there you got your tag

If someone lives in another country, then I believe that's fair game So , you may want to do some research on the name. I mean ,thanks to the internet, you CAN research it quite thoroughly so do yourself a favor and do due diligence One tip I can recommend is instead of using a real word, get more cre8tive (see what I did there?) Use acronyms Phonetically spell it There's a lot of different ways to put it out there. Best to be original 👌👊😁👌👊

The only time I have a problem with it is when it's extremely obvious that somebody is just copying the name and style of someone else. There's a kid that's been writing Ghost in my area, but it's obvious he's just copying the famous one. And he sucks at it too.
