I’d just like to add my two cents here. I’m 35. I’ve been in the graffiti game for 20 years. And drugs are definitely the biggest killer of graffiti writers. I can’t count how many writers are dead before the should be due to drugs. That’s just the fact. As I get older, it becomes more apparent. Don’t do drugs, kids.

Closest I came to death was while doing a roller bomb in a wash and almost getting swept away by a wall of water. It was a clear sunny day and the sun was setting. I decided to go paint this man made river that is usually dry. The walls are about 20 feet high and I have been painting there forever. Anyways I hopped on my dirt bike, loaded up on paint and went to the wash. As I was painting I had the fill done and began the outline. From my right side I hear what sounds like strong wind blowing and lots of cans and trash scraping in the concrete. I didn’t think anything of it and continued on my piece. About 5 minutes later I realized the sound was getting closer. I notice a one foot line of trash and debris coming towards me from about 100 feet out. I immoderately realize that the sound was rain water that occurred across town had made its way to where I was. I immediately hopped on my bike and began the mile long journey out of the wash. As I was riding through the water it slowly started getting higher. There was only one way out which happens to be the same place I entered a couple miles away. As I was making my way out my motorcycle stalled and died because it was flooded. At this time I was handle bar deep in water and luckily there was a slight slope about 10 feet away where I could wait for the water to die down. I had to wait here for about 4 hours until I could safely go home. The water at its highest was about 8 feet deep and moving very fast and filled with debris.Thinking back it was pretty cool but it was also the one time I truly believed I was gonna die.

He'd have to look into more gangland stuff a lot of beef that happens involving types of graffiti is usually within gangs. They tag out a nother gangs tag and throw up their own causing gang fights. You can tag up a nother gang members name as a way to call them to the streets for a fight. Crossing out an existing name someone else put up means your going to or have killed that person. It goes on like this.

I almost kicked the bucket when I was tagging the under side of a bridge. Its was a ledge then a 10/12 foot drop onto the train tracks. The ledge was slanted and covered in dirt and gravel. There was red/green traffic lights to tell you when a train was imminent. It turned red so me and my friend new to walk along the ledge and get the fuck out the way, but my feet slipped from under me. Luckily I feel over and slid down, but not enough to fall off the ledge its self. Because it i had fallen i would 100% have been hit by the oncoming train. Scared the hell out of me, just i still went back to finish my tag 😜 i was alot more careful after that though and gradually stopped getting up over the years
