The lion’s mane mushrooms is common in the menu at Chinese vegetarian eateries here in Singapore. We have them with noodles, in rendang, curries… basically in any dishes as meat substitute. The texture is wonderful!

Hi Ryan I've just watched a TV program of Rick Stein cooking in Cornwell, he cooked a delicious stir- fry vegetable noodle dish with lions-mane mushroom as the main ingredient I definitely want to make it.

Always good to see the family. Yaai knows what tastes good from years of cooking experience , she could have her own channel showing authentic Thai cooking. Happy times cooking and eating. Love a tasty soup, yet do not eat outside when hot. Music lessons I had a few at that age, like the snapping fingers, a metronome is a must for practice IMO. As always, thank you for the vlog guys. Peace and Love Y'all

Thanks for sharing the Lion's mane mushrooms, also known as Hericium erinaceus, hou tou gu or yamabushitake, have both culinary and medicinal uses in Asian countries like China, India, Japan, and Korea. Enoki Mushroom also known as enokitake, this mushroom features small, shiny white caps attached to thin, long stems. They've got a mild flavor and distinctive crunch, which makes them particularly good raw. They can be cultivated but grow wild on Chinese Hackberry, ash, mulberry, and persimmon trees. And White fungus (Tremella fuciformis) is a wild edible mushroom that grows on tree bark and branches, especially on broad-leaved trees ( 1 ). It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Today, it's still lauded for its medicinal benefits, including its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. I took lots of White fungus while I was young as my parents brought me to the tcm medicine workshop because she informed my parents that I keep getting a cough, sneezing, and fever. That's why I've enjoyed using those 3 White mushrooms.

Nice vlog Ryan. Any chance of a recipe being posted for the Lion's Mane Soup? I would like to get the recipe and ask my Thai fiancee to cook for me when I'm next in Thailand. Do you think other mushrooms, maybe white ones, such as Shiitake, would also work in this recipe? You remembered the Thai word, but couldn't remember the (short, simple) English word, "soft" I think it was 😂 Been in Thailand a long time, speaking Thai language more than English eh?

G'day from sunny Queensland Goldcoast Australia Ryan. I bought lions mayne from your link and it says to take 2 capsules a day, but you say 3 to 4 capsules a day. How do you recommend l take it and how many? Cheers
@lifeinruralthailand4 ай бұрын
Hey Darren, see how you feel on them, i take 4 reishi, lionsmane for me 2 is enough, 3 can be a little much, check if you are sensitive to them first, and do let me know how you get on! cheers, Ryan

There are quite a lot of grow your own mushroom companies now in England, and one local to me. Might give a go as the mushrooms you get nowadays in supermarkets dont even taste of mushroom from what i remember growing up. Will check out the supps. Same with curcumin supps, half of them are just ground tumeric root with very little active ingredient of curcumin, lots of gullible people around

Would of been better if you garnished, but not cooked with the mushrooms that bruise really blue 🤯 They say they work very well together. A blend of nootropics. Just run of the mill Nootropics, turkey tail, lions main grow well here, all the rest we can't bring in alive encase they get out into the environment. I highly rate. I'd be keen to learn about the local medicinal herbs there. As for the magical nootropics. A marmite sandwich with heaps of Marmite also works very well to get them down. Or a very light simmer for 20mins in lemonade can be quiet palatable. Breaking through walls is the hard part, it takes a lot to do some real self work, have an ego death, "to die and be reborn" Just don't mix if your playing superman, I spent about what seemed like many deaths for well over 12 hours. To my perception, I was trapped in a coffin trying to claw my way out until I suffocated and it just kept looping. I highly advise one thing at a time. I don't advise consuming many things then eating 600 blue meanies, they were counted out and to separate out the forest floor contaminant. Just now legal in Australia for medical as well as MDMA. We will get there in NZ or you can just walk into the trees or a football field after a frost depending on the variety your after.
