Article 5 states that if a NATO ally is the victim of an armed attack, each and every other member of the Alliance will consider this act of violence as an armed attack against all members and will take actions it deems necessary to assist the Ally attacked. Outwardly it looks good, but the key words of interest here is 'deems necessary'. If NATO deems it not necessary to help then no help will come. If NATO deems it will not respond to a nuclear attack then there'll be no retaliation. It's up to NATO to interpret whatever it wants. This, of course, is dangerous for the member who was attacked. It is not stated in article 5 that member states will send troops to help. It only does what it deems necessary. The interpretation of 'deems necessary' is wide-ranging.

Yes, reforms are a good idea in regard to the U.N..As an American I think my country has way too much say in how the world is progressing, ALL COUNTRIES ARE EQUAL IN ALL SOVERINITY AND RIGHTS. ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE 100% EQUAL. Note In issues of settlement Women will get an extra 10% due to the fact that they give birth. We Americans must realize that right or wrong the world must grow and shouldn't follow America as if it were the only way or the only way because arrogantly, we think we are always right. You want people to follow you because they want to follow you not because you make them follow you, China will learn this the hard way as the U.S. is learning it. You know before social media came along common Americans had no real idea they were so hated across the world, now they see it. Still despite being told to relax and to give others a chance my government has decided to press everyone into camps against each other. This makes folks angry at us. Why does China expansion bother us so much? The Chinese have as much right as America or any other country to do what it wants. Do I agree with the CCP? No of course not they are geared for offensive war so naturally my government wants to prevent another Pacific war. Some say we are escalating another Pacific war by moving to protect Taiwan from the CCP. Chinese people and Taiwanese people are the same people there is no denying that. The problem is the CCP. That is where things get delicate, we have a democracy in Taiwan that is under threat much like Hong Kong was, the issue is really between Taiwan and China not America. This is the root problem if you lose Taiwan, it does not mean you have lost the war to defend democracy it will be evidence of what China is all about and absolutely, I love Taiwan and her people and no she doesn't deserve what the CCP has in store for her but in the grand scheme of things everyone will see what China will do to Taiwan. Would I support defending Taiwan? of course if the CCP plans to destroy Taiwan of course defend her but if the Chinese people not the CCP if the Chinese people want Taiwan to rejoin China and the Taiwanese people not the government agree then rejoin peacefully. Why start a war over it? Encourage their wish the wishes of the PEOPLE. If the PEOPLE do not agree, then the PEOPLE of both countries should settle it through discussions. That is what a government ruled by THE PEOPLE is like. If China's CCP LOVED Taiwan so much, then why threaten to kill them? Why threaten to dismantle their society? Why threaten to "REEDUCATE THEM"? Some countries are beginning to see and Americans, the main recipient of China's scams and garbage products and worthless agreements know very well, oh yes, Americans economically speaking know China very well. The world will see China for what she really is a country of super talented, intelligent and wonderful people who are being hijacked and exploited by a ruthless criminal organization who have weapons that could devastate a country within a day. It disgusts me that in my country capitalists will invest in a government that slaughters people employ rape as a form of torture promotes the use of child slave labor as punishment and funds mafia and drug trade organizations. Dealings with criminals with criminals. That is the world we live in. Criminals have more rights than victims. That will be changing drastically. In this world no matter what country you go to you will hear songs of freedom. Freedom to do what you want in life. Opportunities to expand your mind grow with thought become something to contribute hopefully in a good way to the common man., is that not our lot in life? Well let's take a look at what impedes us. War. lack of employment. loneliness, immature uneducated rage, murder, rape, racism, hate, theft, religious fanatics, evil politicians all topped off with a pack of lies. Now here is some truth for you, pay very close attention. All of you, every single person on this planet will become one people. You need to settle your differences stop all wars and prepare to perform the greatest feat in the history of mankind. on this Earth. If you really want peace and freedom, then of course you will agree.

Ever since the final collapse of the Western Roman Empire, Europe has been disunited, filled with dozens of powerful nations. When powerful nations begin to butt heads, they naturally devolve into conflict. Other powers, wanting to use the war as an opportunity to improve their own situation, enter the war as well. This was exacerbated and grew to a larger scale after the Renaissance, due to the growing population and the colonial Empires of the European powers, providing more resources and more fronts to the war, making those wars between European powers into world wars. Europe was the only continent so technologically developed that they could project their power all across the world, which is why world wars have only originated from Europe, the main center of power during that time. But Europe was a divided continent, and when the stakes are so high, conflict will inevitably occur.

The Afghani government didn't collapse because the U.S. refused to pump more lives and resources into it, it failed because the government was riddled with corruption and incompetence, not to mention the fact that the leadership fled the country and the military was unable/unwilling to fight.
@danieldoyle73372 жыл бұрын
It was the US that installed the aforementioned "Incompetent" government you speak of. The reason it was riddled with corruption is because American money promoted the rise of opportunistic, self interested men to positions of power over the people who actually valued Afghanistan's culture... for all its flaws. The reason why Afghanistan has so many cultural flaws is because it is a poor country. Human populations grow faster than the resources to feed them and cloth them so as a natural defence to this societies susceptible to poverty tend to be very oppressive to women, very strict about how they should dress, and very demanding of men who wish to start a family so as to create a culture in which population growth is limited. Human prejudice evolved to limit population growth, that's why it's most often aimed at women or immigrants. America condemned that culture because Americans live in extreme prosperity and so naturally value human rights, America installed its own culture in Afghanistan and the population grew due to influx of American resources, and then America abandoned Afghanistan and cut of the resources. The worst thing about all this is that America did not do this by accident... They deliberately made Afghanistan dependant on them so as to control them and have access to the Heroin they farmed for opioids and to block access to the rare metal resources that China and Russia coveted to compete with Americas tech industry. The American government knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

President Zelensky and most of the government have stayed in the country and refused to leave, and the Ukrainian military has impressed the entire world in repelling Putin's unjust invasion. The Ukrainians have proved themselves many times over, and that is why the West and most of the world's leading democracies have continued to not only back them, but have continued to send them increasingly lethal and more technologically superior weapons systems in order to defend their Homeland and repel the invaders. During his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Jokowi discussed the threat of food, fertilizer and energy crises due to war. Jokowi said the message from President Zelenskyy had also been conveyed to President Putin. Jokowi conveyed that President Putin had provided security guarantees to Ukraine so that it could continue its food exports which had been disrupted by the war, especially by sea. Putin also guarantees the security of food and fertilizer supplies from Russia. "I really appreciate President Putin who said earlier that he would provide security guarantees for food and fertilizer supplies from both Russia and Ukraine. This is good news," Jokowi said.

So when Russia wanted to sit down and sign a treaty for mutual assurances and incorporation the EU said no. All this could have been avoided if they came up with the treaty. Instead of spending money on job creation and dealing with a recession they decided to go all out and spend billions of dollars adding up to over trillion dollars to counteract interact Russia rather than sitting down and signing an agreement. So you're a false into recession people lose their homes families are affected in fact people are dying as a result of it but they wouldn't sit down and sign the paper because there's no money in it all of these people are making money off the sale of the arms. Americans love it it keeps Germany down keeps Russia out of Europe and it keeps America in Europe that's their game plan since World War II. In all of us little people we all suffer. They tell us how we need to be protected from Russia but we need to be protected from our governments.

Russia cannot expect to go to war with NATO for any length of time. Let’s put this into perspective. From Google- Even three U.S. states have larger GDPs than Russia: California ($3.1 trillion), Texas ($1.78 trillion) and New York ($1.7 trillion). Note that California has more than twice the GDP of Russia. Germany has over 4 trillion. So in terms of conventional war Russia cannot outspend NATO. So at some point Russia will have to come to the table or nuclear war will take place.
@timemachine14212 жыл бұрын
That's silly..when you bring GDP into picture are you considering arm buying capacity .do you think Russia would need money to buy arms from outside to fight?.. when it comes to war GDP won't matter for Russia..it's a mineral rich country which can make it's own weapons

@@timemachine1421 So why is Russia been having hard time building high tech weapons since 2014 sanctions? Look at their next generation tank Armata, they haven't managed to build more than 14 of them in all these years (a laughably low number). It's also forced to use ancient Soviet missiles because there aren't enough precision weapons.
