70g carbs per pancake here. my bad. Anyone looking for low carb wouldn't want these pancakes and this should go without saying - but no need to avoid carbs. Plus, not one worrying about carbs would be looking for a monster pancake this size either. I do not avoid bread while dieting. I quoted 2 bread but really it’s 4 so it be more but it basically impossible to make a pancake that’s big anyway lol

The genius are the people that make these bottles. I have seen the 0 calories in 1/3 of a second serving... That's about the average human reaction time. Usually 0 means they round down from 5. Assuming 3 calories on that serving, it would be around 9 calories per second. Greg says 10 which is also a good estimate but that's similarly to how he got it.

I finally made this like 2 years later but if anyone reads this and decides to mek this recipe, here are my suggestions/changes: use a cup of egg whites for one serving(do the math for everything else) blend/whip the end batter, egg whites and xanthan gum whip really well, you'll get a very fluffy pancake and more volume i once used oats before instead of bread, it came out practically the same, (a little less sweeter, cuz bread has sugar) use like 1/3-1/2 oats per 1 cup egg whites add pinch salt, brings out the flavor use ALOT of cinnamon it just smells better.

Making these tomorrow. I've been making the french toast for 2 weeks now. I was using some other brand of 0 calorie syrup but finally found Walden farms and omg it's so much better. I won't be making a big ass pancake because I'm only eating 1,500 calories a day but I figure I can weigh the mix once made and then portion that out evenly so I can make sure I'm not over doing it for the calories.

The thing about (protein) pancakes is they’re not much lower in calories but they have a lot of protein. To me the syrup is where all the calories come in so I switched to zero/low cal syrup and it’s pretty good

Oh my GOD I just made this and it blows any other healthy breakfast I've ever tried out of the water, and even most of the unhealthy ones!! I'm not that big of an eater, so mine only came out to about 400 calories, and that is including some no-sugar chocolate chips, strawberries, and Greek yogurt. It was still MASSIVE and I almost couldn't find a plate to put it on. Needless to say I am stuffed, and blown away. THANK YOU GREG!!

@William McDonald Yes it is. Don't be scared of the word Anabolic, it just means muscle growth in simpler words. Eat low calorie dense foods (low calories in a lot of volume) and get 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day and you are good to go

I wonder if you could replace or supplement the xantham gum for baking powder as its a pretty common ingredient in pancakes

Normue nagger I tried that a few hours ago.. they still pancakes but it’s very liquidity when you pour and finished product pretty thin..not much volume

As a diabetic i use almond flour or coconut flour and its delicious as well.

You know I saw Greg eating some purple goop and calling it french toast an I was so confused, I get it now. I use egg whites out the carton for my French toast with wholemeal bread and it's amazing, thank you Dr Greg
