Grizzly bears can be seen on the trail up north . But it’s rare, 2010 was the last time

"I saw a lion and a tiger on the PCT'. A great conversation starter. A few would be naïve enough to believe you and the others would think you were either telling tall tales or tripping. I found myself watching the entire thing a second time that is the ear mark of a great video the choice of music is a good match for the ethereal nature of the POV shots.

God, that 'zoo' was terrible! Those poor creatures... living their lives all alone in a cage. But your vids continue to impress - this has been my favorite PCT adventure on TY - and I've checked out almost all of them. Thanks!

SacWildlif: The zoo in Big Bear Ca.....is that each and every of these animals have been injured in some way, and would not be able to fend for themselves in the wild. They are funded only by donations But they do the best they can to sanctuary these animals.

Ok so they arent being abused or anything?

SacWildlife that was horrible to see. Hope somebody shoots them and puts them out of their misery ☹️💔

AWESome. Light is really good and your shots are coming out super sharp. I've never seen that bridge or the zoo in oyther videos really neat to see that. we did Jacinto the easy way awhile back- Christmas morning we rode the tram up for some snow then down to Salton Sea and Joshua in the afternoon. When you start looking down at those windmills i feel like home again we love it out there. That is the largest windmill farm, much bigger than Tehachapi

So glad you could meet a viewer. Sorry I found your channel after you passed through Washington. I just read an article about a guy from my state that did the triple crown in one year! And I thought you were fast. Hehe.

SacWildlife, that zoo is Big Bear Alpine Zoo and it is NOT terrible. Quite a few of the animals were saved from being euthanized, like the three Grizzlies. They have larger enclosures and are not in small cages all day. I'm not a fan of zoos either but rescue/rehabilitation zoos like this one are helping these animals. Some of the animals, like the arctic fox, one of the bob cats and one of the coyotes, to name a few, were rescued pets that would never survive in the wild. Take some time to learn about the place, or better yet visit there, before popping off.

Wow, almost done. When you're almost done do you find yourself speeding up to finish quicker or slowing down because you don't want it to be over?
@NeemorsWorld8 жыл бұрын
usually I speed up. It's always nice to get closure on something like a thru-hike. but after a few days I miss being out there.

Oops, corrections and retractions...Sorry SacWildlife, that was not Big Bear Alpine Zoo, which is great. Apparently, that is a facility that houses movie animals and I don't know much about it. Maybe it is terrible, maybe not. I dunno. Again, I apologize.

So you've NEVER watched a movie with a bear or tiger in it.... what do you think they do just swing by India or Yellowstone pick up a animal and put them in front of actors... better yet have you EVER been to a zoo...answer is yes

I agree about that location. Those look like accommodations from the 30 or 40s for animals in zoos. Very grim and cruel.
