One day, just sitting home preparing for my shift, I heard a low roar outside the window and ran to my balcony very ready to see a mushroom cloud over my hometown. It was Su-30 with Russian Knights paintjob, dude was performing a solo flight before a big air show. I live in 9-story apartment building on 8th floor and my balcony is facing a river which is always used for air traffic because no high bridges or high-standing rocky shores, so a dude flew over my house about 30 meters above my balcony, I could even see the pilot.

Once I was 11 y.o. kid in a city of my grandmother's, and on the City Day there were air show with Russian Knights (Русские Витязи). I sat on top of a small hill at the base of a memorial to the Motherland Protectors which it was placed on a high shore of the Volga river. Guys went above our heads in a diamond formation in like 30 meters. Later when serving my army duty as a military firefighter on the airfield, and Su-24's were passing extremely low many times so I had plenty of such moments, but that first one from the childhood I remembered the most.

Just a few days back I've seen footage from the most recent performance of Russian aerobatic team in St.Pete and some of the planes they were flying were these Su-35s. Damn, those things can maneuver! It might not be super useful these days in the combat situations but the nearly physics-bending abilities of those jets are impressive!

I love watching you dog fight. Your so honest and not biased when it comes to explaining the logistics. Even on those rare time that you loose you will compliment your adversary. I know nothing about DCS but do fly RC aircraft that you use. I also enjoy the external view after the battle. Your choice of music also is perfect for the scenes that you show. I hope to one day get into DCS but for now my RC hobby chews up all of my recreational funds. its called differential thrust, it can be used in a dogfight by any aircraft with two engines to get a rotary force. The further the engines are apart the better it works.

Both engines are running, it's just that only one engine has afterburner lit. This creates asymmetric and allows the aircraft to turn (yaw) more tightly.
