Ingredients:
For Sugar Syrup
1 ½ cup Water
2 ½ cup Sugar
Saffron
¼ tsp Green Cardamom powder
For Gulab Jamun
2 cups Hariyali Mawa
3 tbsp Milk powder
3 tbsp Arrowroot powder
¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
Ghee for frying
Method of preparation:
For Sugar Syrup
In a vessel containing water, add sugar, cook it until it forms one thread consistency.
After switching off the flame add few strands of saffron, green cardamom powder, mix well.
For Gulab Jamun
In a add hariyali mawa, milk powder, arrarot powder, all purpose flour, knead it into a dough.
Heat ghee in a vessel, make small balls of the mixture and fry them.
Transfer it to the sugar syrup directly after straining the ghee.
Transfer the gulab jamuns into a serving bowl and keep it aside for 2 hours.

One more tip : Add the safron starnds into warm water and then add them at the last to the syrup... If u add the safron to the syrup, the safron strands remains as it is and wont dissolve and u wont get that aromatic fragrance of the safron.

I want to share a tip here....don't put 'Hot' fried jamuns into Hot syrup ...combining 2 Hots at the same time will make your jamun balls loosing texture and the shape will be imperfect ...Give them a rest just for 2-3 Mins before you add them into Syrup...Sharing this tip from my own experience

@@gurnoorkaur2060 add some water soaked sooji into your dough, or you can fry the balls little longer in oil with a low heat,,, and make them a bit smaller than your previous balls... Smaller balls tends to cook well ...

I love Gulab Jamum. Its like a little ball of diabetes ;-) All kidding aside, thank you for this recipe. Living in the states for all my life, I can tell you that the American idea of sweets is nothing compared to the luscious and decadent sugar high that Indian sweets give you. I much prefer Gulab Jamum, Jalebi, or Laddu any day over an American chocolate cake or apple pie.

How many grams/ kg will be 2 cups of mava ? I am asking this question because if the proportions are not perfect the recipe will not be perfect, it may spoil the recipe and the ingredients may be wasted

재료 설탕 1.5컵 물 2.5컵 샤프론 약간 녹색 카다몸 1/4 작은술 Hariyali Mawa 2컵 (우유를 연유 이상으로 졸여서 수분을 완전히 날린 것이라고 합니다) 분유 3큰술 갈근 가루(칡가루 !!!!) 3큰술 다목적 밀가루 (중력분) 1/4컵 튀김용 기(유당을 제거한 버터, 유당이 없어 쉽게 타지 않는다) 적당량
