I know that some States require registration of firearms, but a majority of the U.S. does not and we should push harder for uniform and sensible gun laws throughout the U.S. and the World as a whole. I strongly believe that all people have the right the right to self defense and a large part on that in my opinion is for us realize that the few should not control the many. The idea that a few pencil pushing bureaucrats should make decisions that affect us all is completely absurd. The idea that your life should be controlled by people you will never even meet is completely asinine.

I think most people ask about having to register their gun, because the LAST thing they want is to be charged with a crime of owning an unregistered firearm. I LIKE that they ask, because it means they want to be lawful gun owners. They're try to err on the side of caution. Just please tell me you're there to educate them in a helpful manner on what needs to be done. And promise to always do your best to never make someone feel stupid, for trying to follow what they think is the law.

Registration of a firearm will NEVER prevent a crime. It will NEVER prevent weapons from falling into the wrong hands. Why? Because criminals will not register their firearms. The purpose of registration of a firearm is to enable law enforcement to identify, disarm, and prosecute violent criminals AFTER a crime is committed. Registration of a firearm will never benefit you and keep the community safe. Once a firearm is registered if the government deems it a threat for you to have a firearm because they “ want to keep the communities safe “ or “ they don’t like what you said “ or “ you wore the wrong color shirt that day ” then it will make it much easier for them to trace and confiscate your firearm. Let’s go over the pros and cons of registration one more time: Pro's: It'll make confiscation easy, and it'll make it easier to identify stolen firearms AFTER they've been used in a crime. Con's: It'll make confiscation easy, and it won't do a damn thing to solve gun crime.

You guys in the USA are so lucky compared to us in Canada. We are not allowed any automatic firearms. We have a magazine limit of five rounds on centre fire cartridges. This is ridiculous and we need a change in our laws. This only hurts the honest gun owners, if your going to commit a crime you can easily remove the magazine pins. Thank God that they scrapped the long gun registry. That was a major waste of time and money.

I had a civics teacher who was just like that. We were required to read 15 minutes every class, and if you didn't have a history/law/military related book, he had gun magazines you could read. He was the best teacher I ever had. He was a pilot, a historian, and had worked as a civilian in the Navy. If he were allowed to carry his gun in the classroom, he would've. Just with lawmakers could acknowledge the existence of such people and see competently armed teachers are a direct deterrent of crime on school campuses.

Dad won his 1100 at a Legion raffle and didn't know what they went for back then.... Oh well, it's still a hell of a shooter. I need to get it a new "O" ring that fits between the feed tube and the barrel sleeve-collar under the fore-stock. (not sure what else to call it if I'm wrong) It seems to cycle just fine without it but I'm sure it would be less of a shock to the parts on parts connection before using it too much more without it.

I walked in the gun shop and bought a Glock 23. after a filled out my paper work for my background check I said were do I register my gun. The old guy that was helping me got so mad and said YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER YOUR GUNS. I was very new to the gun world so I didn't know any better. Me saying we're do I register my gun triggered him. I told him to calm down that I didn't know to much about guns and gun Law's.

It's like that just about everywhere. Even in their own logic the weapon is "registered." Its just not something that's open to the public. The information is only accessible by law enforcement. The national registration would make the information more or less public.

Im 32 years old and live in louisville ky a very pro 2nd ammendment state. When i was in probally 1st or second grade i remember being taken into the library with maybe 3 or 4 outher students. At the time i didnt see it for what it was... But they suddenly began asking us questions about does my daddy own guns and if so what kind do i know where he keeps them and so on. Even at that young age i knew not to tell them i knew where they were. I knew to lie and say i dont know where he kept them. But in reality ny parents taught me about gun safety at a very young age and even had my first 22 rifle at age 8 or 9. ... Now this was 20 some odd years ago .. But if they were doing that shit back then you better believe now days they still do it...brainwashing kids to fear guns and treating law abiding gun owners as criminals

The best one I had happen to me was a cop telling me that refusing to allow them to search my vehicle was probable cause that enabled them to search my vehicle. I pointed out my age and let them know (after I was done laughing) that I'm not a dumb high school kid who's unaware of his rights. They, of course, did the whole make me wait around for a drug dog and all that so it took about two hours but there was nothing in the car. Physically I don't look like the kind of guy who should be driving a BMW maybe? Or perhaps the cops were just being dicks and wanted to see if I'd fall for that line.

I remember drawing pictures of guns a lot and even roleplaying army men and such at school back in the grade school days and continually getting trouble for it; understandable they're likely having a thought police mindset against the start of a columbine. but Still it is pretty funny how school/education staff can have a judgemental mindset over what the think someone is doing or intending.

Our laws are a lot different up here in Canada. They are a lot stiffer. I believe if you want to register something it should be the person with a license that should be registered. A weapon is only a tool. The dangerous thing is the person who is holding the weapon. Here it is only legal to own a restricted weapon if you have a gun club membership and it is only legal to shoot a restricted weapon at the gun club range. A restricted weapon is a hand gun or an AR style rifle, and any other weapon they want to add to the list. Wish we had your gun laws up here. Keep up the great work and god bless.

What people don't get is that registration only comes into play AFTER the person already gets the gun, so what difference does it make? If you wanted to hide the fact that you had the gun, you just wouldn't register it... So what exactly is it accomplishing, other than adding just one more burden to the law-abiding gun owner?

I appreciate what you guys do and I have learned alot watching your videos. I agree with nearly everything you guys say, but on this issue I think you're a bit misguided. The very fact that the FFL exists is a defacto registration. Being able to follow a paper trail that easily is in fact a form of registration. How can you not see that? The FFL system is totally illegal and unconstitutional. It has been used as a system of tracking weapons nationally, whether or not there is a master database is inconsequential. Whether or not it's a conspiracy is inconsequential. The fact remains there is data out there that attaches the buyer to a gun with completely unrestricted access by the feds. Sounds kinda registry-ish to me! Either way, love what you guys do and keep up the good work.

One thing about the 4473. When a dealer closes his business all those forms are required to be shipped to the ATF. What they do with them after that, I don't know. But they do keep those records. In WA we do have a sort of registration. Handguns purchased from a licensed dealer must be recorded on a state form that is sent to the state department of licensing. When a cop runs your driver's license, they will know what you've purchased and if you have a conceal license.

I had a police officer run the serial on my Glock when coming across us shooting on private property (he was authorized to patrol there, long story) about a month after I bought it from a FFL. It came back under someone elses name. He confiscated it, and I had to present my PA state police transfer form to get it back. We figured everything out, and they only had my gun for an hour or so. They were very nice about everything, but that's pretty disconcerting to know that can happen.

Lucky that there are states that don't have registration. Here in Hawaii, we have to register all our firearms with Honolulu PD. The process to acquire guns is horrendous: permit to acquire, 14-day waiting period, registering, handgun safety course or hunters education class (for those wanting to buy a handgun). The courses I can deal with, but 14-days to get a damn permit plus registration? Can't wait to move to Texas. Oh, I love you're guys' channel. Mahalo and God bless y'all.

i know im late to the crowd by years, but i was in elementary school, id say around 2004 or something, and i did a whole history project on the history of WW2 guns and how it changed manufacturing today. mostly stuck with the guns tho lol.

I'm a cop just south of you in FL. I love your videos and you do a great job. I agree with not cooperating, even though I'm on that side of the encounter. I'm a huge 2nd amendment guy and I expect a little bit of resistance and I don't take it personally if you don't allow me to check your weapons. I encourage people to refuse consent for search. But part of my job is to ask LOL. Keep doing what you do

I was like this when I moved to CO. I laugh at it now though. When I called a store in CO before I moved from CA he was like. Um. You dont register in CO. He laughed and understood when I told him I was coming from CA

I had a fella from california approach me and said he need to register his firearms. I told him that here in Texas he did not have to register his firearms. The look on his face was priceless.

the terrible thing is that i got into quite a bit of trouble for talking about anything firearms related in school, i had a close friend who we both love to shoot and talk about it during lunch or whenever the conversation strikes up on the subject and one day the principal, vice principal and a police officer took me into the principals office and sat me down and told me to never speak of anything gun related or i would be possibly expelled..i was shocked it came to that over a conversation.

I live in a small town in kentucky, and thank god i'm growin up in this society, i draw guns at school and my teachers dont care, but one of my old teachers actually threw away a picture of a ruger 22 l.r. revolver my freind drew, i met in in public and asked him if he was anti-gun, turns out, he grew up in the mountains around guns, it confuses me why he threw it away, there really isn't any anti-gun pressure in my school.

Cool Video guys appreciate you explaining these kind of thing to the sheeple! I understand what your talking about when it comes to the registration issue. However here's the question I have you said that when an individual comes in and files a 4473 form that after it is filled out it goes into a safe and never seen again unless it's stolen. But isn't all that information given to the Feds when the dealer calls for approval of sale. So therefore there is a registration process for the 1st buyer.

@3:28 when I was in middle school, I designed my own pistol- the LCJ1. I drew a complete diagram, to scale, of this firearm complete with working internals. For a 7th grader to have that kind of creativity and the knowledge to draw the internals in a manner that would function is almost unheard of. But instead of being praised for my hard work and creativity, I was ostracized by my classmates and forced to switch schools because I "presented a threat to the general population of the school".

In a move blasted by rights groups, a 3-year-old-deaf boy has been told by his Nebraska school district to change the way he signs his name because the gesture resembles shooting a gun. Hunter Spanjer uses the standard S.E.E., Signing Exact English. He crosses his index and middle fingers and waves them slightly to signify his name. And, Grand Island Public Schools' policy forbids any "instrument" that "looks like a weapon". This is 20 miles from me and makes me sick!!!

Give you a little of my background. I've asked lawyers, police departments etc on wether or not I'm allowed to possess a firearm and have gotten very minimal answers. So I recently went to Walmart and told the lady that I wanted to see if I'm allowed to possess/ buy a firearm. I told her that I've been in trouble before and never want to be again, just want to follow the law in regard to wether I can buy a gun. I filled out a 4473 and answered all of the questions true fully. On question "i" it

I remember I had to see the principle in 7th grade cause when asked what I would bring to a deserted island, had to do with a book the class was reading, I put in my report an AR-7. Guess I explained in too much detail the specs of the rifle and it made the teacher "uneasy." Got to love the CA school system.

Up here in Canada we just got rid of our useless long gun registry but we still have a registry for restricted weapons. Unfortunately the term restricted is variable as guns are added to the list based on either looks or notoriety. My AR is classed as restricted but my SKS is not. All hand guns are restricted and confiscation has occurred when the pointy heads in Ottawa deem your weapon not necessary.

Tip on your number being ran, Put tape over your serial number, they then need a warrant to remove the tape and run the number as it is considered a search.
