Me again! Back in the late 1970s, early 1980s, when VCR video was becoming the "thing" there were a number of houses in Gunhill (very wealthy) that started the first video rentals. You knew where they were, especially along Churchill ave., because there were always cars parked outside on the verges, day and night, even during the week. Still looks upmarket, apart from the potholed roads. I knew a couple of folk who lived in Gunhill and remember their houses to be mansions compared to the house I lived in! I remember my Mom saying, "doesn't matter about the size of the house, its the people inside that counts!"

Gun hill was very beautiful and posh during the 80s. Some of us who leaved in that era really get shocked with the state of the roads. Corruption has really destroyed Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. Thanks for taking us through memory lane. John and Liz the owners of Achipelago nightclub used to leave in Gun hill. I used to visit them.

Old school tranquility, the only injustice is the roads .

Those filthy rich residents should just come together, collect money and hire a private company to restore the roads. Instead of everyone just being concerned about his/her house, durawall, garden, swimming pool.. etc. That's why Zimbabwe is in a mess, we do not set high community standerds rich or poor neighbourhoods.

There are roads like that in Borrowdale but they then become private roads, and I think its the best.

Needs commentary. Where it is . Nearest places of interest around it eg Botanical Gardens the golf course and Sam Levy shopping centre.

Hey ! Why don't you go inside the big groceries or super markets in and around Harare and show us what is on their shelf ? Let's see how well organize it is inside. I hope all the food including the meat , chicken and other freshly produced products are organic. Thanks.

No children should be born and bred in such an area. I bet most don't even know the other kids behind those durawalls. Better Kumusha, where we all knew each other play together.

I was born snd bred in such areas. And turned out ok. Usually youll be friends with your schoolmates and visit each others houses. Birthday parties and all. Lots of other things to keep you busy. People socialise differently. And at least no nosy neighbours. When you become teenagers and start driving its about going out and clubbing etc. But as for me had lots of relatives living in high density areas and we would go kumusha here and there. So theres nowhere I cant fit. And my Shona is 200 percent.
