I've only done alcohol, and yes I'm addicted to it,can go a few days without it,sometimes weeks but then I get back on a roll with my drinking I suffer with Mental Disabilities Can't get on medication until December and can't get into therapy because my city won't help me I drink to numb the pain in my heart and in my head,oh and I smoke 🚬 also...I swear it sucks...and I didn't start drinking till I was 24 now I'm in my mid 30s ...I suffer with borderline personality disorder, major depressive Disorder ,PTSD And ADHD My Point Of Letting Y'all Know This Is That Mental Disabilities Are Real And Addiction Is Real And It Sucks

Spot on and that is a very important point! one MTV video director said he was producing this horrible Pretty Boy Floyd cover song- they were all wearing white suits and had fans blowing their hair around and he was like; This SUCKS! What has happened to Metal R&R? Then GnR released AFD. The amazing thing is the songs are almost all single takes done at 2-4 AM! Crazy!

My favorite musical intro ever. This album changed music. It took things to another level just before grunge hit, and still amazes people. Axel's ability to change the way his voice sounds along with Slash's insane ability was something we had not heard before. Every one of these songs on this album was so different, and so good.

I think you should check out Slash and Miles Kennedy’s “Anastasia”. That tune is just rocking. Slash’s work on it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Mr brownstone is code for black tar heroine. My mom got the tapes for me when I was five I stared listening to guns n roses at 2 and I'm 36 now and have lost friends to addictions n stuff so it's always a reminder of them before during and after...and it's helped me grieve

From a musical standpoint this was in a sense the 'Bo Diddley Beat' - similar in structure to a blues song brought into the 80's with GNR's additions. If you feel the solos by slash and the lyrics you'll feel that if you transported yourself into an older style blues song you'd be in the same venue. Key hint - the very end

I take pain meds for a chronic Csf leak. The first year was a lot like this. Then I realized I don’t have to feel “perfect” I just need to feel better. Since that realization I stopped chasing perfect. As my blood patches have helped I’ve been lowering my meds. I can see how people get addicted, there definitely is a mindset you have to have. You can’t chase it because you will always be chasing until it destroys you
