I personally really enjoy your art because you make nude bodies normalized which is sort of a taboo even for today. I think when you mutilate the nudes it makes the piece so much more interesting and dynamic- I don't think it is weird at all- you are just expressing yourself through your art
@jozeew3130

Nudity is for sure taboo but so is the death/mutilated part. I left my own comment but like I work in morgues, I collect organs from donors, and people think I’m so weird and won’t talk to me about it, even though it’s my job and it is a good cause. People are really touchy around the topic. I like the art too, it reminds me of that but more beautiful and less messy haha

I'm trans and had my breasts and uterus removed and once drew myself holding a pike with breasts and a uterus on it with stiches on my body where they were removed and it made me feel better. It helped me vent all the years of suffering those organs caused me. I think art is the best way to vent sometimes and shouldn't be considered as something you'd actually do... unless you're like me and pay surgeons to do it lol.

@rainedrop277

@@Nevadaax. I don’t know exactly. I personally do the drawing equivalent to what she does with clay. I find something artistic and moving about facing the grotesque or somewhat ethereal themes from a safe environment. I guess it has something to do with trying to find beauty in something that’s usually so tragic in any other context. The human body is gorgeous in my opinion and I vent certain themes and problems by adding spikes or removing a limb in a drawing sometimes. It sounds messed up still I guess, but I promise you I’m a peaceful person and just relate to the video. There is just a lot you can portray in art like this.

When I was in middle school and early high school I would regularly draw gory images of my little ponies. I never wanted, and still don’t, to actually see or cause real life gore. Most of time i can’t even handle heavy gore in movies. Stuff like this tho is very appealing. There’s a level of separation from a real life body that makes it fine to watch and create in my opinion. I think we all sometimes wonder what insides look like, and art gives us a way to see it in a safe manner.

I'm looking at it as an emotional form of self expression. Maybe symbolically expressing your own real life pain and applying that to art. Or clay making/painting. It's a form of expression, as an artist, this is very in depth and bold ❤️ So, no, it's not particularly uncanny or odd.

As a fellow artist who loves drawing gore and body disfigurement, I say yes it is completely ok to sculpt bodies being mangled or sliced. If you like sculpting it to relieve stress, then GO FOR IT! In the end it's just art and you're free to express yourself anyway you can! By the way all of these bodies are so beautifully crafted aaa! I love them 💕

I'm an artist and I also deal with trauma and a couple mental disorders. My vent art is always gory and I felt like a weirdo for a long time because of that. I talked to my therapist, asking if she thought there was something wrong with me, and she said: "If you ache inside but just put good and light things out into the world, then where does the pain go? PUT IT OUT as hard as you need to." Since that day, I express myself freely and think that's an awesome and healthy way to express the pain we feel - we hurt, so we create things that explicitly and metaphorically show the ache we hold, and there's nothing wrong with it. We feel pleasure while we do that because we feel relieved, not because we like the gore, the hurting or the wounds. You're art is AMAZING and if it isn't hurting anyone, it's the right way to cope, even if it's not "socially acceptable". ❤

Hey, so I just watched up to the end of your question. I think it’s normal to find something like that fascinating. It’s almost like a morbid curiosity: What would it look like if the human body did this? And then you slice up the clay and see what happens. It’s like experimenting without actually hurting anyone. And since you recognize that the clay isn’t actually a human body, it may just be more of a curiosity as far as the limits of clay are. Like what you can create out of these shapes. As long as it stays that way, then I think it’s fine to be curious like that!

Mix a little bit of black in your red to give it more of a blood like color and to bring out/define the texture, it will give your pieces depth. If you use the blood red and then used to concentrated bright red on top of the parts of the disembowelment that are higher up and closer to the viewer. The paint kind of has a tacky shining us to it and that's perfect for blood. I paint a lot of Gore and I used this method, and it really brings a sense of realism to the table. As a person who always relyed on very dark and aggressive music as a way to vent, I can tell you that this is probably perfectly fine, often very kind, gentle and highly emphatic ppl enjoy consuming and or making very dark art, it's a way to have a healthy dialogue with the darker parts of our brain, we all have them, and being able to acknowledge, and converse with our darkness, often helps resolve issues and feelings before they become a problem.

You can create it to your own liking and manipulate the grotesque pieces how you want without ever hurting anyone else or experiencing that pain/mutilation yourself. I think it's like the true crime community. You are fascinated by the intricacies of horrible acts but you would never do that and would never ever forgive anyone who does it. The idea of certain things is what's so alluring. We get to explore taboos without any consequences towards anybody and we don't hurt anyone by it. It's like a veiled reality where we can explore to our heart's content

Of course it is normal! I work with clay occasionally and I do lots of gore! It’s perfectly normal to be interested with gore and body horror and be in touch with the dark side of you mind rather than just blocking out! ^^ also your work is lovely and I’d love to buy from your shop soon!

Does it represent something or is it a purely visual liking? Or don't you know if it could be your subconscious doing something? Like a metaphor for being exposed, peeling back layers, being the same yet different, etc?

I did something gory for a final painting assignment back in first year in uni and my friends called me a psychopath lmfaoo I don't like gory stuff in real life and can't stand blood and I prefer paranormal horror over movies like hostel for etc but blood and gore and designing unusual monsters and shit makes me feel creative and express something out of the ordinary. That's why I really like resident evil and all their creature designs

It probably stems from trauma of some sort. I think it’s as you said a way to relieve stress and pain you feel by inflicting it onto something that isn’t real and turning your pain into art hence the jewels and chains so no I don’t think it’s weird. It’s also interesting to look at in general so I wouldn’t worry about it honestly.

The world would be a better place if psychopathic killers channel their angst through creative expressions and art instead of mutilating an actual human being haha.

Even after all I've been through, I just can't imagine myself making something like this or enjoying it. But I've also become a huge softie after being incredibly depressed, so it's harder for me to stomach things like this. Somehow I was very unfazed by everything when I was going through a rough time. So, as myself now, I couldn't say it seems normal to me. But some people just are that way, I think? Or it could be a sign of underlying trauma or even depression and this could be a great coping mechanism for you. I try not to judge or be uncomfortable with it because I really like you and your videos and your perspectives on things. I always feel like you say the things I'm feeling or wanting to say. You're not hurting anyone and you're doing something you enjoy. I support that. Edit: As I'm watching, some of the pieces with gemstones are really pretty I think. Somehow they make it more comforting. I really do have so many mixed feelings on art like this. I saw a piece in here that even I wouldn't mind owning.

I feel compelled to add my experience on this. Creating art is a real talent and many people don't have that gift. I watch horror movies & most of the gore doesn't really move me, but there are exceptions & I have limits. Personally I wouldn't wear a body necklace as it goes over that limit.

I've been really fascinated with drawing gorey stuff for a while, and yet still flinch at even a verbal description of real-life gore. It's weird, but I think drawing/sculpting things like that is just another way to flex one's creative muscle, so to speak. That's at least how I view it ^^

this might just be a random person online reading into things too much, but i remember an instance when you brought up your ex-bf pulling out a knife on you on numerous occasions. i think he said stuff like “come on it won’t hurt, it would make me so relaxed”. and i remember you being like “idk is it wrong, am i kink shaming him??” but in reality you were violated. he tried to take advantage of you when you were close and tried to coax/ gaslight you into doing what he wanted when you were feeling unsafe. that’s not “kink-shaming”. this video really brought up that memory of ur story and all i could think about is how this might be a manifestation of that memory, and kind of like an unconscious way of expressing yourself through that trauma. i think that can happen a lot. again, if you actually read this i want you to know i barely know you and i am no professional. could be way off the mark, but those are my thoughts.

Slicing clay is indeed very relaxing, regardless of how is shaped it is still clay, the problem can come if you enjoy looking at images of real mutilated bodies, but if its not the case there's nothing to worry about, there can be art in destruction.
