HBO should've come up with a way to let the two David's go off and do Star Wars and complete their planned 10 seasons with other showrunners. That way it wouldn't have been a rush for the end. We could have had Season 8 be about the fight with the Night King. Season 9 about the aftermath, then Season 10 about taking King's Landing. Would've wrapped up nicely.

Go back and watch Littlefinger's conversations with Lysa in S4, the dialogue is ridiculously bad because they converse in a super unnatural way to provide exposition to the show watchers who D&D didn't expect would remember Lysa's husband Jon Arryn. It's also why Tyrions motivation to kill Tywin was cut from the show, because they thought the Audience wouldn't remember or care who Tysha was, so therefore Tyrion and Jaime shouldn't care about Tysha even though she's so important to Tyrions motivations and internal morals.

@Randy Ferrell There is actually a valid reason for why Tyrion's character has been making so many mistakes and poor choices lately. He was always a realist that would assume the worst out of people just like Petyr Baelish. When he killed his father and Shae he basically gave up on life and was trying to drink himself to death. Then he encountered Danaerys and the dragons he has dreamed about since he was a child. This changed his perspective on everything. He went from assuming the worst about people to having faith in them which is the root of all of his poor decisions regarding Cersei. The problem is that the writing is also bad on top of that so most people don't even realize that is what's going on.

Actually David Benioff was an author before GOT and I've read two of his books, and they're both really good. The 25th Hour is about a gangster's last day as a free man before going to prison for a decade (it was turned into a movie starring Ed Norton, dir. by Spike Lee). City of Thieves is a coming of age story about a Russian teen in Stalingrad during WW2 during the siege by the Nazis and he and a friend are tasked with finding eggs (which are scarce due to the siege) for a general's daughter's wedding cake or else they'll be killed. This MASTERPIECE of a novel did NOT deserve this. The fans did NOT deserve this. The actors did NOT deserve this. HBO did NOT deserve this. And I think most importantly probably, George R. R. Martin did NOT deserve this. I'm actually super sad that HBO offered 10 seasons and that D&D rushed it instead of just leaving the show if they simply weren't as passionate about the show as before, I'm super sad to see George R. R. Martin's old and new interviews and seeing how much he was against all of what happened (continuity errors, fan subversion, rushed stories in movies/series), that he even once stated that he has so much content that would fit into 13 seasons of Game Of Thrones but that once he discussed it with D&D they reduced it to 7, later 8 seasons instead... he was basically scammed by the thing he hates the most, people that are passionate about milking the franchise instead of the story.. I hope a remake is possible.. If D&D had just left they would've gotten praise for their work on GoT and the fans would've been happy. However it is strongly implied that the gravedigger on the quiet isle is sandor clegane who got nursed back to health by the men who live there. He's described as being taller than brienne of tarth and that he limps (from the wounds of his last battle in the inn at the crossroads). He wears a robe and a scarf like the other men on the isle to conceal his face. The elder brother tells brienne that he found the dying hound and that he succumbed to his wounds. BUT he never tells her that sandor clegane died, only the hound and that he "found his peace". There's is also sandors cleganes horse in the stables and a dog ,which travelled with brienne, moved up to the gravedigger and in response he droped his shovel and scratched his ear.

The Hound was left to die by Arya at the end of Season 4. But Season 5 is when Dumb and Dumber took over so they "brought him back to life" by having him rescued by the Seven Gods worshippers. @My Face Is Tired I don't like history repeating itself but if I'm honest, that would be a bittersweet ending indeed and she would go down as the Queen that literally saved the world from darkness. But the main point is that everything was rushed and there were no clear signs of her going mad, she just had Targaryen traits in her, not madness like her brother. A few seasons before, or episodes I should say, she's praised like Jesus and now she's burning cities. They totally changed her on the basis of her losing the people and dragons she loves and I don't buy that. When she heard the bells, she should have flown to the Red Keep not destroy the whole city. I hope that if she really goes mad or sad or whatever that GRRM does a better job on that and I'm sure he will. The ending for me was not bittersweet at all. What was the point of Jon Snow's identity? Just to distance Dany from the Throne? I would be okay if he became King I guess because I don't know how she could come back from that fifth episode but no, he ended up where he started.
