Your hair may not be thin you may have low density ( the number of strands or follicles per square inch) and you may have very fine strands which will make your parts look a little bit larger but that just may be genetic and normal for you unless you had hair practices at the age of 10 that basically damaged your hair.

@@maryellengreiss952 yeah it sounds like you took after your mom so I doubt that vitamin D would make a difference but such things would you have probably already tried like volumizing shampoos and conditioners may give it a different appearance if it bothers you. I don't even know if one of those laser caps with the red light could change fine hair to medium strand hair or even core strand hair since obviously that's what you were born with but if you're losing any hairs just because we're getting older or even because of hair practicing habits, the helmets might help you to retain that . What a fantastic video, Dr. Mandell! 🌞 It’s amazing how something as simple as a vitamin can have such a profound impact on our hair health. Who knew that the "sunshine vitamin" could also be the "hair-raising vitamin"? Your explanation of how vitamin D deficiency can lead to conditions like telogen effluvium was particularly enlightening. It’s like our hair follicles are throwing a tantrum when they don’t get enough of that golden goodness! And let’s be honest, nobody wants to deal with bald patches-unless you’re auditioning for a role as a wise old sage. For those of us who might be a bit skeptical about supplements, it’s worth noting that a study published in the *Journal of Dermatology* found that oral vitamin D3 therapy significantly improved hair regrowth in patients with alopecia areata. So, it seems like there’s some solid science backing your claims! Also, I loved your reminder about the importance of sunlight. It’s a great excuse to step outside and soak up some rays-just don’t forget the sunscreen! After all, we want our skin to be as healthy as our hair. Thanks for shedding light on this crucial topic! Here’s to healthy hair and sunny days ahead! ☀💇♂

My hair started following out three months after getting COVID. Same as my aunts. Luckily for her though it grew back much fuller. I went to the dermatologist and got bloodwork done. Low iron can cause hair loss as well as some autoimmune diseases, PCOS, or low testosterone. Go to a dermatologist and have them run the bloodwork.

I lost more than three quarters of my hair after I had an MRI with Gadolinium. It poisoned me. It takes years to grow it back.
