Great video as always, but I never get why so many people think that being put into the suit is what made Darth Vader, Darth Vader. He was already Darth Vader by this point, ever since his two-second switch to the dark side a little earlier in the film.

One could argue that Anakin truly died on the operating table, but to my mind, that was just the final nail in the proverbial coffin. Anakin Skywalker started to die the moment he swore alliance to Sidious.

I had a ‘routine’ neck fusion down to C8 - a fairly long chunk of metal. After recovering from surgery, I was in the worst pain of my life. The fact my doctor gave me minimal pain meds didn’t help the agony, and for weeks I was wondering why the fuck I did this. I eventually fully recovered, no pain, no meds needed, so there’s that. So if Vader was awake and fully pain aware during his cyborg surgeries, yeah, I can see where he’d be a grumpy guy.

"Balance to the force" If there are thousands of Jedi and only a few sith balance would mean a lot of jedis will die, which what happened. Or a lot of sith will come out of no where to equal the numbers. I find it stupid that the high council didn't see balance as then dyeing and sith rising to equal them. Balance!

I've always regarded that the original saga is the story of Darth Vader. It's the only character that appears and plays an important role in all six movies and he appeared "bigger" in all the posters (someone will say the same about Obi Wan but he is not very important in The empire strikes back and The return of the Jedi)

...I see a fault in the Emperor's thinking that a Vader that was constantly either in pain or being irritated by his suit...could lead to Darth not thinking clearly....in situations that violence would be bad and a strategy would do more damage to their opponent. Couldn't the pain and all just drive Darth...insane...and useless to the Emperor? AND...how did they keep Vader alive during this 8 hour operation? ...So...after 20 years, Vader's suit has never had an Up Grade? In this world, our computers Upgrade, according to Moore's law, computers become obsolete every 18 months. You buy a top of the line computer in January of 2000 by 2002, it needs to be replaced. I have a 24 year old computer I still use for various things, so I'm not totally convinced of that.... BUT....Vader's suit 'Could Have' been upgraded....I mean, sure he looks menacing and all...but when you see this guy walking around in an OLD life support outfit...you kinda lose respect for him and the Empire, IMHO....
