Building a car that goes fast on a twisty mountain track seems like a much more advanced art than building a car that goes fast in a straight line.... Not that the later is in any way easy mind you. It just seems that modern rally/hill climb cars would do pretty damn well on the quarter mile AND go around 90 degree corners at speeds that would make me wet my pants.

What we find amazing is how much power some of these hill climb cars squeeze out of relatively small capacity engines.
